This dissertation is on Chinese classical dance. The definition of Chinese classical dance in this dissertation originated from1950s, it refer to a kind of Chinese dance which came out of opera dances. The definition of Chinese classical dance was first from Ouyang Yuqian’s ideal, he made a point in his article, which "To study Chinese classical dance based on opera dance". This kind of definition is not the same as the Chinese classical dance in traditional meaning.Chinese classical dance is stem from opera dance, and opera dance became the reference to it. So this paper is on the character of Chinese classical dance, which analysis the history, current state and trends of Chinese classical dance based on the relationship between opera dance and Chinese classical dance, namely the reference and succession, development and reconstruction.This paper analysis the Nationalism, Paradigm and Dancing etc in Chinese Classical Dance, and deeply study the succeeds and deviates between the Opera Dance and Chinese classical dance. From three aspects, namely acting, performance and aesthetics, to study the relationship between this two kind of dance. For example, The nationalism in opera dance exists in such aspects, which shows the acting of "Rounded Body" and "Plump Look","Suiting" and "Symmetry" etc. The performance way stem from these aspects, namely manner express feeling,skill express feeling, style express meaning etc. The aesthetics way stem from these aspects, such as,"acting and feeling","vivid charm","empty and full". Paradigm shows these characters in acting, such as "stand and specification","delicacy and exquisiteness" etc. The performance ways stem from these characters, which "show feeling in dance" in acting etc. The aesthetics characters shows in these aspects, namely "authentic","beauty" and "harmony". The "Dancing" characters reconstruction shows in these ways, such as "pattern" and "accessory", also change in "imitating acting","reproduction performance" and "concrete express". The change in acting ways shows in the renew in "patterning" and "accessory". The change in aesthetics shows in face express which from "exaggeration" to "nature", body language is change from "life style" to "dance styly".The author analyzes the various between the Chinese classical dance and opera dance in this dissertation. The author approves current dancer who reconstruct Chinese classical dance, in the mean time the author also refer some advises from various aspects, such as the reduction in nationalism and pattern, and the author give the ideas that we can reconstruct Chinese classical dance from these aspects, such as body language, performance ways and aesthetics in nationalism and paradigm. The body language aspects like the pattern of hand, foot and eye. The performance ways like acting feeling, skill feeling, space and time feeling etc. The aesthetics ways like "acting and feeling","vivid charm","empty and full". The paradigm such as "stand and specification","delicacy and exquisiteness". The express ways such as show feelings in dance, show feeling in acting. The aesthetics ways shows in these aspects, namely "authentic","beauty" and "harmony". From these aspects which the author lists here, which can give ideals on Chinese classical dance performance reconstruction, and also give value reference to the reconstruction and development to Chinese classical dance performance.
