Qing Qianlong Dynasty Antique Painting Research

This article focused on the antique painting appeared in the art academy during Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty (1736-1795). Originally, the academic circle pays little attention and the evaluation is not high. This thesis, through carefully sorting the materials and detailedly investigating the amount, active time and categories of content, clarified the overall condition of antique painting during Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty.The paper respectively selected the typical painting such as antique figure painting, landscape painting, flower and bird painting to carry out a deep analysis and revealed the ways of implementation and rich implications of antique practice of different levels through the way of returning to historical context. The emperor image, virtual scene and multiple identities in the painting of enjoying leisure, the interactive relation among picture, real scene and architecture in Shizi Lin Tu in the Style of Ni Zan(仿倪�'《狮子林图》) as well as the relation of solar terms, disaster and blessing in Three Yangs Bring Bliss(《三阳开泰图》)were discussed respectively.The antique painting in Qianlong Dynasty has its own unique style of painting, imitation model and actual function. Extremely abundant collections in the imperial storehouse provide ancient paintings for the antique painting activity. Besides antique paintings, a large number of antique calligraphy and antique artifacts are stored in Qianlong Dynasty, which reflects clear antique concept and consciousness. Antique practice in Qianlong Dynasty follows the "ancientness" of Han culture. The "antique" painting is as the result of present political and cultural need.
