Trait anxiety is a kind of personality traits and has differences between individuals. Itusually stays relatively stable. It always shows the tendency to the potential threat situation.As a type of anxiety,it affects the cognitive processing, attention, working memory andbehavior. Executive function is a complex cognitive process, containing inhibitory control,task switching and mental flexibility.Inhibition control as the core executivefunctions,containing self-control and interference control.Inhibit both acting behavior andattention tendency.This study selected two different types of trait anxiety group by thequestionnaire.Both of the groups should do experiment under the number materials andnoun phrase materials.All the experiments uesd the Go/Nogo task. Experiment1usedsimple reaction to test the baseline reactions of two groups.The date had no significantdifferences; Experiment2used two different experimental material to test the inhibitorycontrol part of executive function.This study was tried to compare the differences betweentwo groups and check the differences between the “cold” and “hot” inhibitory control partof executive function.All these tested by the number materials and noun phrasematerial.The conclusions of this study include: the inhibition control part of “cool”and“hot” executive function are separated under the two materials.There was no significantdifferences between two groups under the number materials. The “cool” executive functionwas not damaged.There was significant differences between two groups under the nounphrase materials. The “hot” executive function of high trait anxiety group wasdamaged.People of this group showed a tendency to noun words related to treat situationand avoidance to the general situation.
