The research samples7-12year-old students (108deaf and108common students)adoptingliteraturereviews and experimental methods etc., to explore executivefunction of deaf students. Thatincludesinhibitory function, mental set shifting and memoryupdating. The study aims toexplore:1.characteristics in thedevelopment of inhibitory functionof deaf students,(2).characteristics inthedevelopment of mental set shifting function of deaf students (3).characteristics in the developmentofmemory updating of deaf students (4).influence ofgender and language learning age on the3sub-functions of executive function of deaf students.(5)Compare the difference in3sub-functions ofexecutive function of deaf students and common students.(6).Compare therelationship between thedevelopment of3sub-functions ofexecutive function of deaf students. The research includes2parts. Part1exploresthe characteristics of3sub-functions of executivefunction of deaf students and the impact of gender and language learning age on it.Part2based on theresult of Part1compares the difference between deaf and commonstudents in different age groups anddevelopment of the3sub-functions of executive function.Based on the experiment, the research received the following6conclusions.(1)The inhibitory function of deaf students develops with age.8-9、10-12age groups growincreasingly,7-8、9-10age groups grow smoothly.(2)The mental set shifting function of deaf students develops with age,9-12age groupgrowsincreasingly,7-9age group grow smoothly.(3)The memory updating function of deaf students develops with age,11-12age groupgrowsincreasingly,7-11age group grows smoothly.(4)Language learning age greatly impacts thedevelopment of executive function of deaf students.For7-8age group, their language learning age does not impact much, but for9-12age group, previouslearning experience impactsmuch.(5)The inhibitory function, mental setshifting, memory updating for7-12age group is inferior tocommonstudents, and worst among the6age groups. (6)The development of3functions differsgreatly to deaf students. The mental setshiftingdevelops best, the inhibitory function goes to the contrary.For7、9、10、11age categories of deafstudents, thedevelopment of mental set shifting is better to inhibitory functionand memory updating. For8、12age categories of deaf students, the development of inhibitory function is inferior tomental set shiftingand memory updating.
