Yu Zhengxie is a remarkable scholar, who was living in the period under the reigns across Jiaqing and Daoguang of Qing Dynasty. He compilated many books of his life, get great concern at that time. It’s a close relationship between the formation of his academic and thought, and his experience in his changeable life. Also, his doctrine was affected by social, political, economic, academic and other factors. At that time, under the influence of social movements, textology changed within a certain. Yu Zhengxie inherited and developed this change, gradually expand the scope of textual, and some specific issues have further in-depth study. In the course of his scholarship, he made a lot of insights, show a strong ideological, showed textology intellectual vigor.Based on the study of senior scholars, and under the guidance of "Ming Qing Enlightenment thoughts" research methods,we Have been studying and discussing Yu Zhengxie’s academic and ideological. There are three basic ideas of this dissertation as follow:by researching his life experiences and background, from the academic content, academic characteristics and social thought to analysis and discussion his academic and thoughts.The dissertation is composed of five chapters. The first part is a introduction of Yu Zhengxie’s life experiences, academic background. In this part, we describe his life, friends, writing achievement. From Political, economic, academic three angles to brief analysis the historical background. At the same time, we describe the rise and development of textology and study the impact on Yu Zhengxie’s academics.Totally speaking, it is a simple comb of the relationship between Yu Zhengxie and textology.In the second part, we discuss his research on Confucian classics. In this part,we introduce his shang shu (the book of History), shi (the book of Songs),li(the book of Ceremony), chun qiu (the history of chun qiu Period) research results. By discussing the results of his Confucian classics research, generalize his methods, Combined the historical background, elaborate his Confucian classics research features at that time.The third part, we discuss his research on historiography and Zhuzi. At this part,we introduce his research on frontier problems of the North-west China、politics and historical figures. We focus his research of religion and nationality factor influence on the problems of North-west China. His research had an important influence to future scholars. Then we discuss his research on Zhuzi、Buddhism and Taoism in this part. Across study connection of his research detail and historical background, elaborate his achievement inherited and developed the predecessor’s.The fourth part, we discuss Yu Zhengxie’s textology ideological characteristics. Analysis his academic content features, reveals academic contents changed from"precise"to"new".Then we researching his explanation of "qing"(情)"li"(理)"li"(礼), to analysis his explanation through textual. At the same time, we analyze his textual reflects the spirit of freedom and equality. This spirit is inheritance and propulsion the enlightenment thoughts in Late Ming Dynasty.The Fifth part,we discuss Yu Zhengxie’s social thought. We research his unique view on women,found his theoretical basis of view on women is from the confucianists to rectify the names. He discussed the female’s family and social status all from this point. At the same time he discussed the legitimacy of merchants and appeal them have equal status with farmers. Then he praised interactive parent-child、 teacher-student relationship, all this reflects his thoughts inherited the enlightenment thoughts from Late Ming Dynasty.Overall, we believe that Yu Zhengxie is not only a textual criticism, but also a thinker who have unique opinion. Although his thoughts on the surface with a strong retro form, but its essence is inherited of the enlightenment thoughts. His thought is an important part between the Wanli Period to May Fourth Movement.
