A Research On Variants In The Sutras Of Yuanwei Dynasty

Before the government of North Wei, as the first independent state since Chinese North dynasty and South dynasty have been separated for 150 years. Due to warmly Advocacy of Tanyao after Tanwuchen of North Liang, there is a exegsis revival had occurred, and it had gradually formed an exegesis style that put the meaning and structure as the first demanding, of which is totally different from the style of South district. The study of nowdays’ exegesis mainly focused on the Xian Yu Jing and Za Bao Zang Jing, including of many colloquialism. However, there is few studies in other exegesis as Zheng Fa Nian Chu Jing, Ru Leng Qie Jing, Shen Mi Jie Tuo Jing, Fu Fa Zang Yin Yuan.There are huge difference on texts since the exegesis sxist, by cirtue of the process of copy, the way of decoration, the deliberate distortion, an the variant edition. All of these could as a good object for researching have given us many important information such as vocabulary and semantics. This dissertation focused on the Variant to analyse the language in different period to find the evolution of the exegesis.And this paper also clear the relevant documentaries of different exegesis in Yuan Wei, which as the last but important revival period of exegesis in North Wei. There are 15 interpreters, 80 exegesis, which encompassing 260 rolls from nowdays data. But according to the menu of exegesis in history, there are kinds of different recording of exegesis, such as authenticity of the text, the identity of interpreter, the number of the rolls. So the first part of the dissertation focused on the problems above, took The new repairing Taisho Tripitaka as the standard, to classify and give them a brief introduction, then state the current researching and draw a conclusion.The variant came from three ways, the process of copy, the way of decoration, the deliberate distortion, and mainly shew the distinguishes in characters, vocabularies and sentences. This dissertation offers the documentaries of various texts, which including variant from variant edition, different introduction and different pronunciation. All of which are why the paper has been written.Based on the theory of variant, through the analysis of each word entry, including the judgement, the study of their process and evolution, find the relationship between variant, while employing the knowledge of characters, vocabularies, exegesis, phoenics, in order to make the word’s explanation.
