The Chinese contemporary literature hastaken place great changes in the 1990 s.Although the changes had happened in the 1980 s, but in the 1990 s, the changes are appeared in the form of vigorous, even beyond the usual thinking mode. We can say that the 90 s is a historical turning point for the contemporary Chinese literature. Unlike previous era,a series of new factors, such as the market economy and globalization, mass culture and consumption, media, capital, have affect the development of literature. These new factors turn the closed and rigid old literary field into an open, free, multivariate literature field. These new factors led to the transition of literature in the 1990 s. Transition is a complex dynamic process which means breaking the tradition and building the tradition is concomitant. But the opportunity of transition will bring a new possibility to literarycreation and more choice to writers. It can be said that the 90 s is a big time which contains vitality. So this paper will make a comprehensive and in-depth research to the 90 s literaturein the perspective of the transition of literature. On the one hand the paper will make a full explanation to the 90 s literature transition and motivation.
