Literary Criticism And Its Transformation Under The Market Economy

Since 1990s, Chinese economic system has experienced the transformation from the planned economy to the market economy. There has been a great change in Chinese society during this historic transformation. Literature is materially and spiritually affected by it too, so is literary criticism. I find interest in literature, particularly in the transformation of literary criticism under the market economy. Hence, 1 take it as the topic of my thesis.In order to study the great change which literary criticism, as a leading style, gave birth to in the transformation of the economic system, I fully discuss Chinese contemporary literature under the market economy, the influence on literary criticism and the developing strategy of literary criticism under the market economy respectively in my thesis.Firstly, there is a brief introduction to Chinese contemporary literature under the market economy. It mainly introduces the current situation of literary transformation brought by that of the economic system and there is also an analysis of the new transformation caused by the literary criticism under the market economy. Secondly, it focuses on the market economy's influence on the literary criticism, the counteraction to the market economy and the independence of it.Literary criticism, as a mode of mental production, analyzed in the transformation of social economic system, is a new viewpoint worth reading.
