Research On The Evolution Mechanism Of Unconventional Mass Events

It is not only an important focus and critical mission of strengthening andinnovation social management but also a continuous focus areas and hot spots oftheory research, to build social security prevention system scientifically and deal withall kinds of increasingly prone group events resulting of accumulation of deep socialcontradictions, especially the unconventional mass events,which the larger gatherscale, higher strength and intensity, more chain reaction, complex characteristics andpotential derivative risks, more serious threat to social order, and difficult to solvewith conventional management means.Therefore, it is urgent to research on theintrinsic evolution mechanism of unconventional mass events and find the key linksof emergency decision-making. At the same time, it has important practicalsignificance of guiding government relevant departments for emergencydecision-making and enhancing the ability and level of solving mass events, andexploration meaning of the development of public crisis and emergency managementtheoretical system.During the course of our social transition, social structural tension and lack ofeffectiveness of institutionalized interest expression become the objective reality. The evolution of unconventionalmass events results from the influence and interaction of various powers in the groupforce field above.Based on the former study, we established theoretical assumptions of complexassociation or causal sequence among the various elements in the course of evolutionof unconventional mass events. Combined with the real case of Hubei Shishou event,we designed the questionnaire, conducted field research to collect data, used structural equation modeling techniques to verify the assumptions, and identified the interactionrelations among various elements as independent variables, the dependent variables orintermediate variables, and summarized the core and common law in the evolution ofunconventional mass events.
