"Bolshevik" is a theoretical journal of the central committee of the communist party of China which was founded in Shanghai on Oct,24th of1927by the Communist Party of China. It illustrates the exploration of new democracy theory of Chinese communists in their early era, which has made great contribution to the development of new democracy theory. It also records the history of early Chinese Communists looking for China’s right revolutionary paths as well as the influences of wrong Lefty thought and lefty Road to China’s revolution. It reflects the evolution of the paths, regulations and policies of the Communist Party of China during that period; and keeps several factual historical references which became very important research bases. As the academic research on "Bolshevik" is rare, this paper intends to introduce and analyze the stance of the Journal during the exploration of the basic question of Chinese revolution.Firstly, this paper introduces the general situation of "Bolshevik", including the foundation background, purpose of foundation, management module, editing team, columns, budgeting, publication as well as suspension of the Journal. Secondly, it goes through all published articles and especially analyzes those related to the basic questions of China’s revolution, such as its nature and future, motivation, leadership, object and tasks as well as the direction; It also studies different opinions of early Chinese Communists regarding New Democracy theories and strategies and the contributions it has made to the theoretical development of New Democracy, as well as the mistakes and lessons. In the end, it provides scientific comments regarding contributions as well as limitations to its study on the basic question of Chinese revolution.Bolshevik is an authorized newspaper of Communist Party of China during the exploration period of CPC. It did some exploration of the basic questions of China’s revolution. It unavoidably propagates some Lefty thoughts by mistake due to limitation of the era, the recognition ability and the theory. It tries to readjust some of the Lefty thoughts, however, is not able to change its "lefty" trend completely. Nevertheless, it highly raises the liberal revolution flag against imperialism and feudalism in the dark nights of white terrorism which unites revolutionary team and brightens the way forward. It discusses the nature, future, motivation and leadership of China’s revolution; and some of its opinions are naive even wrong. It is still considered to be valuable as it records the maturation of the theoretical development of Communist Party of China.
