On The Study Of Police Morality

At present, Chinese society is in a transitional era with rapid development of the socialist market economy. The establishment of a ethics system to adapt to the new era is particularly urgent. And in this process, attention should be paid to strengthening the construction of police morality. Definitely, the construction of Police morality has been very fruitful over the years, especially in political attitude, service and work style. But with the development of science and technology, and gradually deepening of the market economy, the police morality system is obvious inappropriate under the background of constructing a well-off society and a harmonious socialist society. The exploration of police moral system from theory to practice is still a quite current and urgent topic.Therefore, the author chooses "police morality" as the study object, widen the research perspective of police morality theory through interdisciplinary research method. The author tries to dig out the connection and cause of the interaction between the police moral behavior and other social phenomena from the angle of philosophy, ethics and history. Using the method of historical analysis, the author gives a full review of the human social morality, the formation and development of Eastern and Western police morality history as well. This thesis focuses on the different appearance of Chinese police moral system in different historical periods and environment to explore the evolution of police moral system construction from a specific historical condition. Using comparative analysis, the author studies the police moral system in different legal systems, different periods and different background. This thesis finds out the practical constraints which influence the development of police moral system in view of the major problems and actual effect existing in the construction of chinese police morality during the transitional social period. So as to provide real and reliable analysis basis for decision making to improve and develope Chinese police moral system. By using system analysis, the author takes police moral behavior, evaluation, cultivation and ideal as an organic whole. This thesis discusses the permission control of police moral subject assigned in the process of costructing police morality. Through which the thesis shows out the practical characteristics of the police moral system under the guidelines of diversified system objectives and evaluation dimensions. Using the normative analysis on the ethical and moral system of the new period, the thesis straightens out logical relationshipin the existing police moral system between the reasonable execution of the police right and the comprehensive protection in civil rights. The author explores how to construct harmonious and rigorous system of police morality on the legislative level.This thesis is divided into six parts, as follows:Part I:the general overview of police morality. This part mainly discusses the nature, characteristics, contents and functions of police morality. Police morality is defined as a kind of professional ethics, which is a kind of social ideology, attaching great importance to the protection of human rights and humanitarian care, with a strong political nature and huge social model characteristics, and that is special moral requirements made for the police "should be" in public security.Part II:the historical evolution of police morality. Through the analysis of the history of human society, moral development types and specific rules, this part comprehensively expounds the formation of origin and the development course of the east and west police morality.Part III:the standard system of police morality. In an in-depth way, this part carries on the comprehensive discussion on the basis of the police ethics, basic principles, heteronomy and self-discipline as well as the structure of the police ethics system. It scientifically constructs the basic content of modern police system of ethics, which is to be loyal to the Party, service for the people, enforcing the law impartially, honesty and self-discipline, wit brave, discipline and civilization on duty.Part IX:the choice of police morality behavior. This part studies further the freedom and responsibility of police moral choice, and the realization of the police moral choice through parsing of the police moral behavior selection mechanism.Part X:the evaluation of police morality. Through the analysis on the meaning and essence of police ethics, as well as the discussion of the specific content of the police ethics, this part fully demonstrates the police fundamental way to promote the moral cultivation lying in the view of practice. Then, through the general overview of the meaning of moral ideal and characteristics, analysis of the meaning, value and the basic content of the police moral ideal, thus it draws the blueprint how to set up the police moral ideal. Finally, through studying the operation status of the police moral construction in our country, this part deeply analyzes the main problems and the causes existing in the police moral construction in China, thus to perfect our country the police made a comprehensive and realistic approach to moral construction.
