Exploration And Analysis On Existing Problems And Educational Countermeasures In Police Professional Morality

The policeman's professional morality is the criteria to be observed in performing his duty. And it is the major guarantee for the policeman in doing his job ,in setting up a good relation between the community and the police ,and in establishing a good social image of the police .but in reality ,it occurs from time to time that the policeman is doing something against his professional morality and this constitutes a social problem which cannot be ignored.Therefore, this article tries hard to do a systematic analysis and study on the policeman's professional morality, the existing problems and education. First, to clarify the conception of the policeman's professional morality ,and then to put forward the concrete content ,and then to analyse the key characteristics and significance. And to use typical cases drawn from everyday life ,pointing out eminent problems in the policeman's professional morality in six aspects: professionally incompetence, to extort a confession by torture ,to highly consider themselves as a privileged class ,to abuse their powers, corruption ,and neglect of duty. Furthermore ,to analyse what cause these problems; the component and the administration of the police force ,the specific characteristics of the police profession, and the social treatment of the police constitute the objective reasons of these problems: the personal mentality ,psychology and physical conditions ,and cultural level of the police constitute the subjective reasons of these problems ;the inadequate education on professional morality is also an importantreason . And finally, this article looks from the angles of professional morality education ,puts forward the solution :to emphasize .professional morality education ,put it in the big backdrop of professional education ;scientifically design the content of professional morality education ;train teachers of professional morality education, improve the methods and ways in professional morality education.The conclusion of this article is :the existing problems in the police professional morality should be taken seriously and it needs a common effort from all circles of society to make this education a success as this is the important solution .in the social background of administering the state with virtue ,an active and effective professional morality education will be sure to increasingly improve the quality of police rank and file.
