| In the late20th century, the Cultural Revolution caused by the "left" political ideology, the "Two Whatevers", the "right" trend of Bourgeois Liberalization", and the "Peaceful Revolution" strategy of the West seriously threatened China’s socialist political ideology safety. In this situation, it has become an important historical task for China to realize its political ideology safety in its political ideological construction. Deng Xiaoping devoted himself to the historical task of putting up various concepts of constructing China’s political ideology, and it is of special significance to study the concepts to safeguard China’s political ideology.Combining theory with practice, and dialectical materialism with historical materialism, this paper makes in-depth research into "Deng Xiaoping’s political ideological construction in the new times (1978-1992)". In the first chapter, the background and significance of the subject is introduced, added with "the definitions of ideology","political ideology "and "political ideological construction". Then the summary of current situation of related research, the rationale and the research methods of the research are stated. In chapter two, the historical background and theoretical basis of Deng Xiaoping’s concept of political ideological construction in the new times is mentioned. Part three theoretically discusses the main content of Deng Xiaoping’s political ideological construction, that is,"breaking","establishment","evaluation", and "innovation". Deng Xiaoping promoted the discussion on the criterion of truth by breaking the "Two Whatevers ",setting up new thoughts of "emancipate the mind and seek truth from the facts", scientifically commenting Mao Zedong and Maoism, proposing to "adhere to the four cardinal principles",finishing theoretical innovation through straightening out Maoism.On this basis, Deng Xiaoping advocated focusing on construction of spiritual civilization, to look more on the future,proposing to "constructing socialism with Chinese characteristics".The innovation of his concepts is embodied in the establishment of the historical coordinate of political ideology under the background of the primary stage of socialism, the transfer from "political ideology controlling economic construction" to "political ideology serving ideology", putting up the main line of the thought of "one central task, two basic points", exploring the basic principles of political ideological construction from the nature of socialism, proposing the evaluation criterion of political ideology-the "three favorables", developing the historical materialism to provide economic guarantee for the political ideological construction with Socialist market economy.Chapter four lists the historical achievements of Deng Xiaoping’s concept of political ideological construction in the new times. On one hand, it realizes great transformation in political thoughts and outlook through developing Marxist political ideology, which has set a landmark for the theoretical system of Socialism with Chinese characteristics. On the other hand, it has guided China to make many achievements in various aspects, and made outstanding contributions to the objection to "Peaceful Evolution" and safeguarding international socialist activities. Chapter five mainly describes the main features and pragmatic value of Deng Xiaoping’s political ideological construction in the new times. It features in its persistence of the dialectical unity of truth principle with value principle, bringing order out of chaos with theoretical innovation,"not debate" with "debate", and preventing "left" with anti "right". Deng Xiaoping’s concept of political ideological construction in the new times is of practical and far reaching practicing significance in China’s response to the challenges and opportunities brought about by globalization and its leadership, administration and saying rights position in ideology. Chapter six makes conclusions and points out innovative aspects and outlooks. |
