Chinese army and servicemen are famous for their strong servicemen’s spirit all over the world. Nowadays, the form of war is increasingly taking on the feature of information. Status of men, as the principle element in the war, not only doesn’t decrease, but also increases to some extent. In keeping with the new trends in world military affairs, Chinese army needs to not only innovate weapons and equipment, but also speed up cultivation of new-generation revolutionary servicemen with perfect servicemen’s spirit. Thus, it is of important academic value and practical significance to deeply study thought connotation, cultural tradition and modern specialty of Chinese servicemen’s spirit, and actively explore practice approach to cultivate the spirit of modern Chinese servicemen.This paper, based on the mode of thinking of Marxist philosophy practice viewpoint, with servicemen’s spirit as the core definition, according to the thinking line of theoretical interpretation, looking back in history, reality reflection and practical exploration, using study methods such as combining theory and practice, history and logic, deeply and systematically studies Chinese servicemen’s spirit.This paper consists of introduction, text of four chapters and conclusion.The introduction, around the internal essence of servicemen, tells reasons and meaning of the paper and emphasizes the important theoretical value and realistic meaning of studying modern Chinese servicemen’s spirit; through a systematic review of the studies at home and abroad on servicemen’s spirit, grasps self-awareness and academic vision of studies on servicemen’s spirit, and determines the horizon and method of studies on modern Chinese servicemen’s spirit.Chapter 1 gives a further illustration on the theoretical connotations, spiritual elements and practical configurations of “servicemen’s spirit”. “Servicemen’s spirit” not only refers to certain ideology, psychology or attitude, but also the essential regulations and inherent power which make servicemen real servicemen and are the consciousness logic for servicemen in self-development and self-realization. To be specific, the “servicemen’s spirit” is the “Qi” in Chinese of servicemen which contains three-dimensions, namely morality, value and belief, and is embodied as vocational spirit, values and combat spirits.Chapter 2 studies the traditional Chinese servicemen’s spirit based on the relation of tradition and modern time.
