Research Of Combat Spirit Cultivation With The Advanced Military Culture

Combat spirit is the main part of combat capacity. It’s also a vital factor in promoting the combat capacity and one of the decisive factors in winning a war. Under the current complex international and domestic situation in order to be well prepared for military struggle and non-military tasks, it is extremely urgent to actively explore effective approaches to cultivating the officers and soldiers’ combat spirit and to give rise to our army combat capacity in order to fulfill the goal "Able to Fight, Winning the War". Advanced military culture, an important part of military soft power, is closely connected with the combat spirit cultivation. Advanced military culture is an important spiritual factor in motive and combat capacity of the army, and it is the precious resource for cultivating the powerful combat spirit. In our army’s development, victories and the accomplishments of diverse array of tasks, the advanced military culture has even provided the powerful thought guarantee and power source. So it is necessary and responsible for us to strengthen the construction of advanced military culture and to deepen combat spirit cultivation in the army. However, in some units there exist some phenomena that the mission and tasks are not closely linked and improving army combat spirit is not highlighted in the process of the construction of cultural work in the army. Based on a large amount of research, the paper makes a preliminary analysis on cultivating officers and solders’combat spirit with the help of the advanced military culture.The article consists of four parts. There are:Part1It mainly introduces the background, significance and the present research of combat spirit cultivation with the advanced military culture. It points out that the present research on the combat spirit cultivation and the advanced military culture construction is carried out respectively and spirit, though there has been a great amount of detailed research on them. Now the study on how to cultivate combat spirit with advanced military culture is relatively weak. At the same time, it summarizes the main contents, methods and innovation of the present study.Part2It analyzes and defines the concept of the advanced military culture. On the basis of the connotation and extension of the advanced military culture, advanced military culture can be divided into military spirit culture, military behavior culture, military system culture and military environmental culture. The main content of the advanced military culture is introduced in this part. Some main factors which affect the emergence and the development of the military culture are also analyzed and discussed. Those factors involve the economy, politics, science and technology, philosophy, social science thought and military practice.Part3It analyzes the connotation of the combat spirit. The combat spirit connotation includes six aspects. They are:loyalty to the motherland; political beliefs of listening to the party’s command; strong-arm reaction spirit of unafraid of the strong and striving to win a battle; Constancy and unyielding revolutionary integrity; the discipline consciousness of obeying orders and listening to command; the psychological quality of being strength and perseverance; the competitive quality of wisdom with bravery. The relationship between the combat spirit and combat capacity is deeply analyzed. It points out that the combat spirit is an important element of the combat effectiveness. It illustrates the significance and necessity of officers and soldiers’ combat spirit in the new era. It further points out what combat spirit the revolutionary officers and soldiers should have.Part4Through the analysis of the relationship between the advanced military culture and combat spirit cultivation, it says that in cultivating combat spirit the advanced military culture should be used to consolidate the foundation, the orientation of cultivating combat spirit be established, the atmosphere of cultivating combat spirit be created and a platform of cultivating combat spirit be built. Finally, it probes into the effective means of cultivating officers and soldiers’ combat spirit with advanced military culture.
