College students are the future of our motherland and the hope of our nation. In accordance with economy and social development, advancing the theory and practice of college students’ ideological and political education, taking pains to train college students with high ideals, firm belief, noble morality, tough will, open mind, broaden knowledge, exploitative spirit and arduousness, bears significant and profound strategic weight to accelerate the construction of socialist modernization, realize the revitalization of Chinese nation, ensure successors and flourishing of socialism with special Chinese characteristics. College students’ideological and political education has long been laid emphasis by our party and nation, which plays a vital role in and to some extent, determines the quality and standard of training higher personnel. Ideological and Political Education at College Students’ Communities, as an integral part of college students’ideological and political education, comes into being as the reform of higher education deepens. Since 1990, higher education broadens its scale gradually, the number of college students has been going up and higher education evolves from elite education to mass education. Ideological and political education on college students’ communities results in response to the reform practice of higher education. The dissertation, adhering to the Marxist position, viewpoint and method, accompanying with regional practice of current college students’ideological and political education at communities, studies systematically the ideological and political education at college students’communities at the new situation and at contemporary time.The dissertation is composed of introduction and other seven chapters.Introduction:the study reason and significance of the topic are clarified; the research achievements concerned at home and abroad have been systematically sorted out; the research thoughts and approaches have been further made clear; the originality of the study has been illuminated.Chapter One:the connotation and development of the ideological and political education at college students’communities are determined. On the basis of defining community, students’ community and college students’community, the scientific definition of ideological and political education at college students’ communities has clarified and its characteristics and its tendency have be pointed out too. Chapter Two:the realistic situation of ideological and political education at college students’ communities is analyzed. The object of ideological and political education at college students’ communities has changed, with obvious change in student’s number, structure, demand, ideological status, study and life style, ect. It is different too compared with the previous circumstance, which sheds light on the problems and reasons on ideological and political education at college students’ communities.Chapter Three:valuation of ideological and political education at college students’ communities is implemented. First, the nature of ideological and political education at college students’communities is showed; furthermore, the value pattern of ideological and political education at college students’ communities is further demonstrated based on the clear value division of it; moreover, the conditions, ways and characteristics of ideological and political education at college students’communities are clearly stated.Chapter Four:the principle model of ideological and political education at college students’ communities is set up. The new principles and ideas of ideological and political education at college students’communities at current situation are clarified. Combined with ESM model raised through the regional practice on ideological and political education at college students’communities, the scientific connotation and requirement of ESM model have been elaborated.Chapter Five:the scientific content of ideological and political education at college students’ communities is designed. On the basis of a clear foundation and methodology on the ideological and political education at college students’communities, the dissertation points out that the ideological and political education at college students’ communities includes:political education of current news, education of ideal and belief, education of honesty, education of moral cultivation, education of psychological health and legal education, etc.Chapter Six:the option of methods on ideological and political education at college students’ communities is explained clearly. The dissertation states the meaning and principle on ideological and political education at college students’communities, shows the usually-taken methods and pointes out the performance of those methods.Chapter Seven:the performance mechanism of ideological and political education at college students’ communities is set up. The dissertation illuminates the performance mechanism, the scientific connotation of the performance mechanism of ideological and political education at college students’communities, states the significance of setting up the performance mechanism, demonstrates the main performance mechanism and points out some important measures advancing the healthy performance of ideological and political education at college students’communities.
