Student associations are not only important for colleges but also an important group organization in colleges.Effectively enhance the political,advanced and mass nature of student communities,especially theoretical learning communities,can effectively consolidate the majority of students in the student organization,mobilize and encourage more students to participate in theoretical learning,and let more students have the opportunity to learn the latest theories,have the opportunity to make progress together,have a deeper understanding of the new strategy and new ideas of the party and the country,and gather more students around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core to make the Chinese nation great unremitting struggle for the realization of the revival of the Chinese dream.In the process of strengthening and improving ideological and political education in colleges,and comprehensively improving the quality of educating people in colleges,the theoretical learning communities in colleges carry important ideological and political education functions.This paper takes 15 Shanghai Excellent College Students' Theoretical Learning Communities of 2017 as research objects,analyzes the development status and dilemma,and analyzes the weaknesses and difficulties of them in the process of exerting their ideological and political education functions,in order to optimize the function of ideological and political education in theoretical learning communities,it is hoped theoretical learning communities in colleges can become an important boosting force for improving the level of ideological and political work in colleges in the new era.In the introduction,the author details the research background,research significance and existing research at home and abroad,and summarizes the existing research on the concepts and functions of theoretical learning Communities in colleges.In the context of strengthening and improving ideological and political work in colleges and universities,improving the ideological and political education functions of theoretical learning communities in colleges and universities has important significance in many aspects such as theoretical guidance,organizational cohesion,backbone training,path creation,and platform construction.The first chapter of the paper mainly summarizes the development,connotation,function and characteristics of college theoretical learning communities.With the changes of the times and the development of higher education,college student associations have gone through a very long period of development.As a part of many student communities,theoretical learning communities have also undergone a process of initiation,turbulence,exploration and development with the development of society.In the process,the concept of a theoretical learning community has gradually become clear.The author believes that the theoretical learning community in colleges and universities refers to guiding with Marxism-Leninism,Mao Zedong Thought,Deng Xiaoping Theory,the important thinking of the "Three Represents," the scientific development concept,and Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,with theoretical learning as the main activity content,committed to improving students' ideological and political level and moral consciousness,and fostering a new generation of young Marxist college student associations.They not only have the general characteristics of student associations,but also have special performances in terms of politics,times,learning,and practice,and bear important ideological and political education functions.The second chapter of this paper focuses on the ideological and political education functions of theoretical learning communities in colleges.The theoretical learning community in colleges provides a carrier,platform,approach,and form for the promotion and implementation of ideological and political education work for college students.The ideological and political education work in colleges indicates the direction and provides a strong guarantee for the development of theoretical learning community.Significantly consistent directions in goals,tasks,and content can resonate in the same direction and the same frequency in ideological and political work in colleges.Judging from the development status of major theoretical learning communities,theoretical learning communities have the functions of belief orientation,spiritual motivation,and innovative approaches.They are used to cultivate a new generation of Marxists,spread socialist theories with Chinese characteristics,and provide ideological and political education opportunities.Only when the ideological and political education functions of theoretical learning communities are brought into play can the original intention of theoretical learning communities be established,thereby expanding the ideological and political education channels and improving the effectiveness of ideological and political education.In the third chapter of the paper,the current situation and problems of the function of ideological and political education of theoretical learning communities in universities are analyzed through investigations and visits to 15 outstanding academic learning organizations in Shanghai in 2017.The theoretical learning community in colleges will have a positive impact on students objectively,mainly in the areas of theoretical learning,ideal setting,practical perception,self-satisfaction,etc.,which can enable students to consolidate consensus in theoretical learning and enrich selfknowledge in practice.Enhance personal qualities in activities and set up great ideals in the community.At the same time,the theoretical learning community still has certain difficulties in terms of activity forms,learning enthusiasm,school guidance,and attraction of the community,which makes the theoretical learning community settle down to the status quo and slow development,and also makes its ideological and political education function insufficient.Analyzing the reasons,the author believes that it is mainly due to insufficient understanding of community positioning,theoretical learning in a formal way,and other activities that have a large impact.They are generally expressed as insufficient support,low professionalism,insufficient resistance,and weak appeal.Combined with the predicament and the reasons for the predicament mentioned above,the fourth chapter of the dissertation proposes an optimized path for the ideological and political education function of theoretical learning communities in colleges from several perspectives.From the school perspective,the top design of the development of theoretical learning communities needs to be improved,incorporating theoretical learning communities into the macro planning of ideological and political work in colleges and universities,and improving the level of support for theoretical learning communities.From the perspective of teachers,it is necessary to improve the mentoring guidance system and simultaneously strengthen the theoretical guidance and affairs guidance of theoretical learning organizations;from the perspective of the main body of the community,it is necessary to strengthen its own organizational construction,and to give full play to the important role of student organizations,and develop various,which can enhance the effectiveness of theoretical learning.From the perspective of students,we must enhance the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of theoretical learning,take a solid approach to theory,and take seriously the ideas of truth.From the perspective of long-term construction,theoretical learning communities must create their own classic activities by continuously innovating activities which is brand to gain student attention and support.When optimizing the ideological and political education functions of theoretical learning communities in colleges and universities,we must also follow the basic principles of party leadership,people-oriented,truth-seeking,reform and innovation,not innovation for innovation,and problem-oriented and goal-oriented innovation.
