On The Model Of Ideological And Political Work For University Students

With the target of nurturing the all-round developed successors of socialist construction, university ideological and political work (IPW) has become an urgent and strategic task which strives for improving university ideological and political education of university students and their ideological and political quality. Hence, the ideological and political work under present circumstance has gained the attention of CPC which promotes the investigations into the efficacy of ideological and political education in university, including its content, methodology and management. However, the researches are far from being satisfied.Starting from the model of ideological and political education for university students, this dissertation develops its research with the logical line of—raising research questions—constructing research model—application in practice with various research methods such as interdisciplinary study, contradiction analysis, research overview, comparative study and case study. By adhering to the principle of student-centered education and the principle of ideological work as the guideline, it intends to construct a theoretic model of ideological and political work in university by investigating the thinking methods which combines both form and content in thought pattern, aiming to improve the practical effect of ideological and political work in university.Chapter one is the introduction of the dissertation which describes its research motivation and research overview, its research methodology, main content, key points and new findings.Chapter two is an overview of the key terms in this dissertation which expounds on the following two serial key terms related to the description and construction of the model of ideological and political work in university:one is the series of thinking, the other is the series of ideological and political work.Chapter three is an analysis of the ideological and political work of universities in present situation based on its historical survey, which summarizes the experiences of ideological and political work in university and probes into the problems in its thought pattern and causes.Chapter four treats with the affective thinking pattern in the ideological and political work of universities which begins with the content, structure and function of this thought pattern, then elaborates on the significances of the thought pattern of action, the thought pattern of association and the thought pattern of image in the ideological and political work in universities.Chapter five deals with the rational thinking pattern in the ideological and political work of universities which begins with the content, structure and function of this thought pattern, then elaborates on the significances of the abstract thought pattern, the dialectical thought pattern and the cubic thought pattern in the ideological and political work in universities, and finally tries to construct a figure for related thought patterns.Chapter six treats with the innovative thinking pattern in the ideological and political work of universities which begins with the content, structure and function of this thought pattern, then elaborates on the significances in the ideological and political work in universities, and finally tries to construct a figure for this thought pattern.Chapter seven deals with the overall thinking pattern in the ideological and political work of universities, which tries to construct an overall thought pattern for the ideological and political work of universities on the basis of the construction of its module, principle and process, and adopts this pattern in empirical analysis.The conclusion of this dissertation summarizes the new findings of this research, then discusses its causes, possibilities and practical values, and finally points out the limitations and suggestions for further researches.The research innovations are the following:First, the investigation into the thought patter of the ideological and political work in university itself is an innovation as few researches in this field have been conducted. Second, in terms of the thought pattern and methodology, this research provides explicit theoretical supports for thinking theories and thinking arts, and forms a comparatively stable model for the process of thinking operation aiming to find a unique methodology for ideological and political work in university as well as a unique thinking mode for ideological and political work in university. Third, by integrating various models and methods of affective thinking, rational thinking and innovative thinking, it has found effective methods for ideological and political work, and formed an organic system of thinking process by combining affective thinking, rational thinking and innovative thinking as a whole, which makes clear that they are different form each other but mutually dependant, complementary and inclusive.(?)ourth, the dissertation also signifies the researches into questions on inter-subjectivity.
