The drowning of the students bring the consequences of the parties themselves is the loss of life, bring the family is a family broken soul hit; bring to society is the loss of human resources and wealth but legal disputes. Primary school to carry out water safety education can reduce the high-risk behavior of students in waters, reduce student drowning accident. Water safety education requirements and trends of the modern education reform in physical education and health programs.In this study, the combination of theoretical validation and educational experiment, the survey of18primary and secondary schools in China from Yunnan, Hubei and Zhejiang,78school leaders,335primary school teachers,2554pupils participated in this study. Survey the current status of China’s primary school water safety education, to explore the factors that affect water safety education, knowledge, skills, attitudes, risk behavior of the students waters mechanism of action, the final inspection and integration into the waters safety KAP education, performance in the sports and health courses.Students waters safety education of survey results show:single of pupils waters of activity content, the waters of activity places the lack of security, pupils waters of security known Nobuyuki status quo worrying our pupils waters of security known letter row of the demographic differences significantly pupils drowning hazard is serious, accounting for a/6students occurred drowning behavior; another school water safety education is uneven, the school water safety education and lack of security.Primary school water safety education and impact survey found that the factors affecting the safety education of pupils waters of six dimensions, respectively, the factors of administration, curriculum, students, teachers, hardware, and parents.Constructed in this study the waters safety KAP physical education model and theoretical foundation, educational performance of the model tested. Full model test based on the structural equation model, the relationship between water safety knowledge, skills, attitudes and behavior, the results showed that water safety knowledge, water safety attitudes positively predicted water safety attitudes and knowledge can be negative to predict high-risk behavior. However, the students water safety skills on water safety attitudes did not significantly related to water safety skills, in turn, can positively predict the waters of high-risk behavior. Teaching experiment to test the effect of the intervention of the three water safety education model on students waters safety KAP found that, after the intervention of the waters safety sports courses, students waters safety KAP of each dimension of intervention showed significant improvement, so the waters safety physical education curriculum intervention is the best. Secondly, the intervention of the special education model, in addition to a significant improvement in the intervention of water safety knowledge, skills, attitudes and risk behavior has not improved significantly, indicating that the intervention has limitations. Finally, after the intervention of swimming teaching mode, students waters safety KAP in the various dimensions are not significantly improved, so the intervention ineffective.This dissertation has also raised some methodological issues for future research in water safety education for students.
