Research On College Counselors’ Career Planning

College instructors’ professionalization and specialization directly relate to the quality of educating talented college personnel. Planning College instructors’career and development well is one of the effective ways to improve professionalization and specialization of college counselors. Therefore, based on the development of college instructors’ team and the study on the theory, it has a vital significance to do a deep study on career development planning of college counselors.In the current study, most studies on career development planning of college instructors’ come from abroad, which in a degree promotes the domestic construction of college instructors’ team. However, from the perspective of ethics, there are less studies on domestic career development planning of college counselors. As for the current studies on the factors affecting career development planning of college instructors’, most of them are descriptive studies which put an emphasis on subjective and objective factors. However, it hasn’t been found any empirical research ways to study the factors affecting career development planning of college instructors’, much less to build a structural equation model. Meanwhile, we first build the predictive model of degree of college instructors’ professionalization and specialization with SVM model from the samples. Based on the existing research status and study on related theories, this paper does a deep study on career development planning of college instructors’ with the methods of theory analysis, empirical study and construction of structural equation model. Main research achievements are as follows:1. The professionally theoretical study of the career planning for instructors in colleges and universities. The ethical source of the career planning for instructors in colleges and universities mainly derives from the aspects of solicitude, justice, virtue and so on; and the principles includes respecting students’ freedom, avoiding harm on students, benefiting others and keeping a just and honest attitude towards events and students; and the way of constructing is the four aspects:the competence of the instructors, their devotion to students’ studies and comprehensive developments, their responsibilities for the school and society.2. The study for the influential elements of the instructors career planning in colleges and universities. We build the structure optimized model from the 627 samples including 41 features with AMOS 17.0 from SPSS statistics software. From three perspectives including the career planning of college counselors cognitive, individual career planning for counselors and organization career planning for counselors, We make an analysis for the influence factors of career planning for counselors and successfully build the novel structural equation model.3. The study of the career planning promotion policy for instructors in colleges and universities. The content can be classified as the individual planning, the group planing and the achievement of planning. The way of college counselor organization planning include the development mechanism, double career ladder design, the stages for planning and the creation of policy environmen. Individual career career planning mainly include the self analysis, target set, target achieved strategy, and adjustment and amendment. Success evaluation content include objective career career success, subjective career career success and college counselor contribution for the social and the university. The evaluation standard include process success evaluation, subjective success evaluation and objective success evaluation.4. The study on the degree of college instructors’ professionalization and specialization. We first apply the support vector machines(SVM) model to the career planning of college instructors. Using SVM method from R language with 627 samples and 41 features, We successfully constructed the predictive model to predict the degree of career planning for college instructors.
