The Research On Marxist Theory Of Social Space And Its Application To The Urban—rural Relationship

As Foucault said:“Today is the era of space. I believe we lie on such moment a specific ideological clashes promote a confrontation between people believing time and space.”Because of the past condition of lacking space imagination,we should highlight the theoretical perspectives while discussing the dialectical relationship between time,space,social existence. In the Marxist theory of social space evaluation issues,academic speeches and comments fall into a dilemma. On one hand, in the writings of Marx, the absolute dominate concept is time rather than space and more than location. On the other hand, Marx and Engels but clearly concerned about how the capitalist industrialization produced a very rapid growth of industrial towns. Therefore,this paper,a major theoretical task is to review Marxist social space theory based on the study of literature and text. This work was done by the first, second and third chapter of this paper.Marx once said:“The purpose of the philosopher is to understand the world,and our aim is to transform the world.”Theory of social space should highlight its contemporary value. To this purpose,this thesis regards social space theory as a guide,drawing on dimension of Marxist analysis,breaking significant practical problems - urban and rural relation down into everyday life space,capital space,power space and space of flows. Each unit includes a number of research objects、elements and case studies related to Chengdu,which mostly constitute the core chapters of this thesis:the fourth chapter, the fifth chapter, the sixth chapter, the seventh chapter. In each chapter, the logical clue is:mechanism of action�'space status and problems�'space management strategy�'Chengdu relevant case studies.This paper logically deduces the following conclusions: Marx’s social space has become logical and theoretical system, it should be included among the basic principles of Marxism, and occupy an important position. Theory of social space for the binary relations has strong explanatory power. The value of the theory of social space is to pursue the realization of justice. Social form is the integration of rural and urban social space. Rising of Civil Society in China focuses on the free and comprehensive development of urban and rural areas due to the awakening of civic consciousness. This paper also strives to innovative on research perspective, proofing methods and mechanisms revealing.This paper strives to innovate on such following three important aspects:research perspective, argument method, mechanism revealing. Firstly, Innovation of research perspective :This research, starting from the text, sorting out the Marxist theory of social space and theoretical analysis of the current urban-rural relations in this change, deconstructing the relationship between rural and urban space for everyday living, the capital of space, power space, space of flows, emphasizes on the interaction between urban and rural areas, to promote harmonious relations between rural and urban social space, opening up a new relationship between urban and rural perspective; Secondly, innovation in the proof method:This paper, adopting the new Marxist positivist research methods, according to our co-published with my trainer,“Chengdu Livelihood Survey Report 2008”,“urban-rural balance of the public service of social space”,“Chengdu public services and social management“Twelve ? Five”report”and other topics related to the outcome of the investigation and analysis of the data , demonstrates the Marxist theory of social space on the urban-rural relations in the strong explanatory power, pioneering empirical study of Marxism , so that Marxism is deeply rooted in the solid soil of reality. Thirdly, Innovation of revealing the mechanism:The subject is the study of the theory of each generation and the occurrence of the internal mechanism theory, the object is the current research focus - urban-rural relations, the reality is the foundation of the relevant Chengdu case. The subject influences the object, reflects the law of urban-rural relations .It is convient for us to study the optimization of space management strategy and innovation of the further integration of urban and rural development.
