A Study On Performance And Evolution Of The Tripartite Alliance Of Business Incubators, Venture Capitals And Tenants

As economic globalization burgeons， networking development of hi-techbusiness incubators has connected creative resources as a dynamic network systemand provided tenants with better incubating environment. Researches on the tripartitealliance of―hi-tech business incubators, venture capitals, and tenants‖have greatsignificance in academy and practice.This paper considered the alliance, which consists of high-tech businessincubators, venture capitals, and tenants, as an independent system. Based on resourcetheory、transaction cost theory、network theory and social capital theory, this alliancewas defined clearly, and through the research of literaries, large scale questionares,and field research, the inter-relationship between influential facotors of tripartitealliances‘performance and the evolution process of the alliance network wereexplored.This research contained the following creative points: A conceptualized model oftripartite alliance network was built. This model, based on related theories andliteraries, actively decribed the motive and formation process of the tripartite alliancenetwork system and helped comprehense of the tripartite alliance influential factors inthe experimental research; Structure equation model of the tripartite allianceperformance influential factors was built. And experimental researches wereconducted. Contrasting with the regular pattern based on mono-theory, a researchpattern based on multi-theory was explored including equity theory, trust-commitmenttheory, dynamic capability, social network theory, and etc. Key influential factorswere then recognized and the multi-causality between influential factors was deduced,LISREL was then applied to modify the model. Results of the experimental researchshowed that the equity of the alliance, trust among the memberes, and the level of thecommitment were key media variables, reflecting the cognition of allied members,while factors of network structure fand operational ability positively influenc thealliance performance; A system dynamic flow chart of tripartite allied networkevolution model was plotted. This system dynamic analysis based on key factors andtheir causality path in the structure equation model was conducted. A simulation of thedifferent leveled influential key factors was conducted using Vensin PLE. The effect of key factors on the performance of the ally and evolution trend of network wasdiscussed intensely and this provided instructional advice for the practical applicationto optimize allied network.The results of this research provided not only a conceptualized model to betterunderstand the evolution process, but also a definite and operational instruction forpromoting tripartite alliances‘development, strengthen satisfaction rate of alliance,optimizing evolution paths of the network of tripartite alliances.
