Knowledge management is the product of the era of knowledge economy, and the development of knowledge-based economy depends on the effective management of knowledge:From a macro point of view, knowledge management is an important driving force for the development of knowledge-based economy; while from the microscopic point of view, knowledge management through a series of core functions effectively optimize the enterprise’s business activity.And knowledge management is not only a strategy and ideas, but also a workable technology. While at the same time, the history of the rise and fall of the knowledge management calls for a holistic and targeted knowledge management.Knowledge management should first be based on the level of corporate strategy, rather than a restricted matter, thus it must be implemented as a whole. Knowledge management doesn’t cover everything, but should be focused on the basis of actual business in order to achieve optimal performance. Management knowledge life cycle has become the new ideas of modern knowledge management-Today, the majority of executives are aware of the strategic importance of knowledge.Moreover as in other areas of management, we do not lack a useful framework,alternative models and checklists directory to be chosen from. However, it seems that some solutions, just like band-aid, can be used under any circumstances. When a lot of knowledge managers selected error framework one after another, the idea that knowledge management is the process of the evolution of the knowledge life cycle will have a profound impact.An important function of knowledge management is the management of the whole knowledge life cycle. How to manage the knowledge in a complex ecology of knowledge, it requires us to abandon the peculiar and mechanical reductionism that means the whole is to be divided into individual to understand and explain, instead pick up the weapons of complexity theory, using such a system life cycle thinking to take care of the knowledge multi-attribute, multi-dimensional value and a variety of factors. In the book" White Paper on Knowledge Management:Second-generation knowledge management", knowledge life cycle that appears repeatedly is based on organizational learning theory and complexity theory, which are the basis of the second generation of knowledge management concepts.Comprehensive research is conducted on related studies in this paper, and then it points out the inadequacies of the domestic and international research, as follows:(1) does not distinguish between the knowledge life cycle and life cycle of knowledge management;(2) knowledge of the life cycle of the three models are subjective fragmentation, lack of systematical perspective;(3) lack of systems and methods in researching the life cycle of knowledge Management strategies. Based on the above problems, enterprise knowledge problems are discussed from the perspective of the life cycle of knowledge and life cycle theory is adopted to analyze enterprise knowledge motion law in this paper in order to enhance the level of knowledge management. Enterprise knowledge life cycle management also reflects the advantages of the enterprise’s overall knowledge management strategy and value management strategies, achieve systematic, stage management of.knowledgeIn the research process, this paper reflects the integrated use of qualitative research methods such as literature research, analog inductive method, the model method and quantitative research methods like content analysis, factor analysis. The full text except the introduction includes seven chapters; the main content is as follows:Chapter Ⅰ:an overview of characteristics of the knowledge life cycle. Systematically discusses life characteristics of the knowledge systems and knowledge management life cycle strategies, focuses on analysis of the knowledge life cycle from different perspectives, which is the life cycle of scientific knowledge and practical knowledge, and finally research on the expansion of knowledge life cycle which includes related product life cycle, organization life cycle and customer life cycle;Chapter Ⅱ:the process of knowledge life cycle. Following three properties of the life cycle in the life cycle methodology, research deeply into the knowledge life-cycle stages, maturation and generation;Chapter Ⅲ:the value of the knowledge life-cycle. Cycle value of knowledge is reflected in the value-added activities based on the value chain, while the life value of knowledge is reflected in the changing process of the knowledge activity in the corporate knowledge tree;Chapter Ⅳ:the knowledge management model construction based on the life cycle strategy. The author builds the enterprise knowledge survival analysis model, the knowledge value measurement model and the knowledge segmentation model, and the first model involves two steps that is to identify knowledge needs and analyze knowledge flows, the second model is divided into two ways:a qualitative measurement and quantitative measurement, the last is divided into two forms including the knowledge value/time matrix and knowledge half-life;Chapter Ⅴ:Knowledge management steps based on the life cycle strategy. Mainly divided into knowledge management technology maturity assessment, knowledge management life cycle identification based on knowledge management elements and knowledge motion law, knowledge life cycle curve plotting and analysis, and phase evaluation of knowledge management life cycle;Chapter Ⅵ:An Empirical Study-knowledge management application case based on the life cycle strategy. Includes critical success factors’identification of DigitalChina Company’s knowledge management, as well as the company’s knowledge management strategy match in different life cycle stage and enterprise knowledge management recommendations based on the life cycle strategy.Chapter Ⅶ:Summary and Prospect.
