Natural resources are the most important part of the national wealth and are playing a great role in the social economy development as one of essential factors of production. And in natural resources, energy resources can produce relatively high economic rent, and consequently its strategic position in the process of social-economic development is particularly important. In a certain sense, the history of human society and economy is a story which deepen understanding, exploration and utilization of energy. Since the first industrial revolution, the energy resources as the basic power of industrial civilization are paid much attention by every country in the world. But because of the limitations of human understanding and sci-tech development, the non-renewable resources are the main part of the energy consumption in the world. And therefore, a pair of conflicts between limitation of non-renewable resources and the needs of the economic and social development has become irreconcilable.the pair of contradiction has existed since energy resources became the indispensable source of power of the industrial society. In order to obtain the long-term and stable supply of energy resources and meet the needs of the development of their social economy, all countries in the world exploit and make use of their energy resources; meanwhile they strive for the control of resources in the global scope. Many important events happened in the world modern history has profound energy background. Therefore, the comprehensive national strength competition between all countries in the world primarily on economy and military virtually is the competition of energy resources.Energy security issue has become a focal question in the world under the background of this energy situation and macro economy. Coal, as a traditional energy mineral in China, covers70%in primary energy production and77%on consumption, with its the large reserves, wide distribution, and huge consumption.In2010, China’s coal output reached3.24billion tons, while its consumption continues to grow. Because coal has been playing a significant role in the energy structure, besides, coal-dominated energy structure will be no fundamental change in the future for a long period of time, so coal becomes a priority in the study of national energy safety strategy. Therefore, it’s necessary to re-examine the developmental mode of the coal fields, to lower the high industrial energy consumption, high pollution, and the high greenhouse gas emissions. In this way, we can truly realize the development of low-carbon and clean roads to maintain the long-term and stable supply of coal, and finally, to escort for national energy security and socio-economic development. The basic structure of the thesis is listed below:Chapter Ⅰ:Introduction, which includes the research background, the basis of thesis selection, the theoretic as well as the realistic essence of the research, is discussed, meanwhile, the methodologies as well as the technical chart is introduced. Last but not least, the framework and the innovation are also introduced.Chapter Ⅱ:Theoretical foundations, the Institute involves the concept of meaning defined and application in the study of the definition of energy security, clean utilization of coal as well as complex adaptive systems (CAS) theory and related theories are discussed.Chapter Ⅲ:The main complex adaptability research on China’s energy security. Start by describing the complex adaptability factor of energy security in China, and complex adaptive characteristics of China’s energy security to be a detailed analysis;Multi-agent model of China’s energy security and to be set out, illustrates the multi-agent model of energy security in China’s pattern of organization and structure, finally establishing a complex adaptive system of energy security in China (CAS) model description clean utilization of coal and later laid the Foundation for national energy security.Chapter Ⅳ:The effect on clean utilization of coal and energy supply. Endowment, from coal, coal price, description of coal supply could affect national energy security, finally clarify the clean utilization of coal impact on coal supplies, judging from the complex adaptive system-level impact, judge clean utilization of coal will have an impact on national energy security.Chapter Ⅴ:Effect on clean utilization of coal and energy needs. From technical factors such as economic growth, industry bodies, area shows coal demand to improve the country’s energy security, finally clarify the effects of clean utilization of coal on coal demand, from the complex adaptive system-level impact, judge clean utilization of coal will have an impact on national energy security.Chapter VI:Effects represent a clean utilization of coal and energy structure. Illustrates the effect of energy structure for national energy security, then from technical factors and policy factors addresses clean utilization of coal impact on energy structure, from the complex adaptive system-level impact, judge clean utilization of coal will have an impact on national energy security.Chapter VII:Conclusion. Through the above sections of the analysis concluded that clean utilization of coal for China’s energy security through the surge and learning adaptability and mutation of three mechanisms have an impact on national energy security.
