Throughout the domestic circles on the study of Mao Zedong thought in the last30years, the weak point is about the study of Mao Zedong economic thought. The research object is about the important content of Mao Zedong’s economic thought--labor relations in this paper. The paper did a systematic, comprehensive and in-depth research from the part of origin of theory, historical evolution, the main content and contemporary value. We just hope that could make up the lack of academic research.Firstly, the paper discusses the origin of theory of Mao Zedong thought on industrial relations through textual research method. Mao Zedong paid attention to both sides of the common interest and developed the point of view of "labor interests consistent" on the premise of persisting Marx’s labor struggle of ideas. He established industrial relations system that is the core ideas of Labor confrontation on the basis of critically absorbing sun yat-sen’s moderate capital.Secondly, the paper discusses the evolution process of shaping, development, transmutations of Mao Zedong thought on industrial relations and the reason of change, adopting methods of combination of history and discussion. Mao Zedong thought on industrial relations was built in the agrarian revolutionary war period, formed in the Anti-Japanese War period, matured in the war of liberation period. After the founding of new China, the labor confrontation had changed in practice after a short period of time, in cause of the change of the main social contradiction, the recovery of national economy and the bad performance of capitalists.Thirdly, the paper combs and summarizes the main content of Mao Zedong thought on industrial relations with an emphasis on theory statement. The premise of Mao Zedong thought on industrial relations is protecting national capitalism, the core is the industrial confrontation, and processing mode is to regulate industrial relations. Innovation of Mao Zedong thought on industrial relations is reflected by dealing and coordinating industrial relations by his identity of thinking. In the history of international communist movement, Mao Zedong put forward to the labor policy of confrontation for the first time, it developed the Marxist theory of fighting to adjusting. He firstly proposed the view of implementing labor cooperation under certain condition, by the theory of against to cooperation. He proposed the view of disposing labor relations in the way of innovation, from violent revolution theory to the peaceful transforming. The main limitation is about paying much attention to the negative effect of private capitalism in the politics, eliminating private capitalism prematurely, and ending the Labor confrontation policy.Finally, combing the reality of China, the paper reveals contemporary value of Mao Zedong thought on industrial relations. Mao Zedong thought on industrial relations is the theoretical foundation of building the socialist harmonious society, it is the theoretical cornerstone of ample for the labor relations of socialism of Chinese characteristics, that is the basic method of resolving social contradictions. Even today in the new century, we should still adhere the principle that the party’s central task is determine relation of non-public economy, we should adhere the "win-win" policy of Labor confrontation, we should adhere that the government play role of leading in industrial relations.
