Objective:To compare the curative effects of two different radiotherapy methods, the Iodine-125seeds implantation and Afterloading radiotherapy,in cervical cancer on mouse model. Methods:Two kinds of human uterine cervical cancer cell lines (Hela and C33A) were injected into100BALB/C nude mice. In the next46days,76of them were randomly selected into three groups, the Iodine-125seeds implanted group, the Afterloading group and the control group. After3months observation, most of them were killed, to compare the curative effect and side effects of these two radiotherapy methods. Results:In the Hela tumors model, Iodine-125seeds implantation showed an excellent tumor control effect, even a little better than the Afterloading radiotherapy. Compared with the Afterloading radiotherapy, the Iodine-125seeds implantation had a smaller skin radiation damage and weight loss. In the C33A tumor models, these two radiotherapy methods didn’t have such satisfied curative effects. Conclusion:The Iodine-125seeds implantation has the same curative effect as the Afterloading radiotherapy method, but has a smaller side effect. It may have a bright future in the clinical treatment of uterine cervical cancer. |
