Liu Zongzhou (1578-1645), is the last Confucian Master of Ming, also master of Neo-Confucianism.Liu Zongzhou ethical thought is a continuation and development of Neo-Confucianism.Liu Zongzhou’s academic purposes is " Shendu"."Du" is given the meaning of the noumenon, called "Duti", regarded as the life of the noumenon of the universe, the ultimate value of the universe and life origin and basis of his ideology.Liu Zongzhou upgraded to "Du" to the ontology and he believes "Shendu"is the most important accomplishment.Liu Zongzhou doctrine is built on the basis of the word "Daxu", based on "sincerity".Liu Zongzhou "Du" as noumenon, and that the "Yi" is the heart of the deposit rather than the hair."Yi" is the moral consciousness as the noumenon.This moral consciousness is latent, rather than a transcendent moral activities.Liu Zongzhou "Shendu", emphasizing on the body’s self-certainty, self-awareness, self-regression, ethical idea that began for.His "Shendu" is the most important accomplishment, the words We shall return unto the words "Shendu".Liu Zongzhou explain "Shendu" means that no matter when and where not to relax.In this way, the "Shendu" has both the noumenon and the significance of the method.Liu Zongzhou command of the School all the effort to "Shendu" method.He said there is no alternative "Shendu".In his opinion, the Daxue of perfection noumenon by virtue of the effort to implement "Shendu"."Duti" that is presented in the "Shendu".On this basis, the Liu Zongzhou critical the "teach the king’s gate four "and WangJi’s "four no".For these two statements, Liu Zongzhou the own "four education".Compare their point of view, is not difficult to find, the Liu Zongzhou moral ontology Kongshu against neither good nor evil.Liu Zongzhou do not like to talk about the virtues.
