Th Study Of The Contemporary Reconstruction Of Ashima

Ashima is a folklore narrative poem of the Sani branch of Yi, which live in Shilin County, Yunnan Province. Before the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Sani community was basically a self-governing society; it was constructed up as a part of customary law, and widespread in Sani folk. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the artists of Yunnan Province paid attention to it. Under the guidance of the national ideology, it was gathered together and was consolidated by the artists of Yunnan Province. So, Ashima has distinctive characteristics of the times, but not with the Sani folklore. As codified Ashima widespread in the country, it won a good reputation for the Sani people. Coupled with the changes of the ideology, Sani people had accepted this new Ashima. From then on, Ashima had become a cultural symbol of Sani people. After the reform and opening, for the need of the development of tourism, Sani people has reconstructed Ashima again. A diverse body took part in this reconstruction. As a result, Ashima once again becomes a multi Variant, uncertain text. The development of tourism which used Ashima as the brand has greatly promoted the economic development of Shilin County, and Sani people has been benefited from it, so, they had received the reconstructed Ashima again.The facts show, because the changes of the cultural ecological environment after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, traditional ethnic culture in contemporary China experienced a number of reconstructions, reconstruction is a basic form of traditional ethnic culture in heritage. Remodeling meant the traditional culture to be changed and to be created. Even though the reconstructed traditional ethnic culture contacts traditions, it isn’t authentic traditional culture. However, for various reasons, minority accepted this reconstructed culture. This culture therefore is minority cultures. Reconstruction is the basic shape of the ethnic traditional cultural heritage and development. By the reconstruction, the ethnic traditional culture adapts itself to a new cultural environment, and gets inheritance and development in the new cultural environment.
