Coordinate phrase coding looks simple, but many phenomena in coordinatephrases are unexplainable with current grammar rules. Many scholars don’t pay muchattention to Marking of coordinate phrases. The article will prove that Marking ofcoordinate phrases play an important role in Coordinate phrase.the reason is not the special features, but its simple kind of coding.Just because ofthat, many scholars have overlooked the research of the essence in coordinate phrase.Marking of Coordinate phrase,an important part of coordinate phrase, indicatecoordinate relationship between all conjuncts.Marking of Coordinate phrase in57languages of ethnic minorities areinvestigated from typological view in this article. The diversity of coordinatingmarking’s position and the merging of words of different parts of speech aredemonstrated in the article. The most typical postion is located between the last twoitems, some scholars provide more information about why the special position is themost position, but these information is not enough to explain clearly.Coordinating marking is absent usually, but on the specific conditions of syntacticor semantic, marks shall be enforceable. The present writer try his best to find whatto decide on the absence of marking. Furthermore, the relation between coordinatingmarking and comitative preposition is discussed here.even if the forms of comitativemark and Coordinate mark are the same in a language, we still can not conclude thatthe basic orde of the langusge is SVO.“AB” refers to the predicative coordinate phrase composed of coordinate items Aand B. In Modern Chinese, the negative expression of “AB” often takes the form of“Neg A Neg B”. The form “Neg AB” is employed only if “Neg” is stressed or hasother elements adjoined to it, or when “AB” is similar to typical natural conjunctions, which are the sole ways to guarantee that “Neg” negates the predictative coordinate phrase “AB” as the whole.Partial Agreement is the phenomenon when the verb agrees with only one of theconjuncts of the coordinate phrase, for example, in VSNP1NP2constructions, the verbagrees only with NP1. This paper analyzes the phenomenon from differentperspectives with an attempt to find its functional mechanism.VP ellipsis in chinese came to be discussed in the latest thirty years and manyresearches have studied on this topic. The focus is whether chinese VP ellipsis can beanalyzed as English VP ellipsis. This thesis is an attempt to answer the followingquestions:(i)Does chinese have VP ellipsis?(ii)How many categories exist in ChineseVP ellipsis?(iii)Do these categories have some universality?...
