Semantic Analysis Of Coordinate Compound And Its Teaching Strategies

The coordinate compound is a special kind of Chinese vocabulary,and the previous studies mainly focused on morpheme sequence,semantic,cognitive,concrete term and so on.This paper takes all the coordinate compound in The Outline of HSK Vocabulary as the research object.First,analyzes semantic of the morpheme.Then,researches the relationship between morphemes and the whole meaning.Last,compares Developing Chinese·Comprehensive Course(2nd Edition)with The Outline of HSK Vocabulary,and gives suggests for its imperfections.Meanwhile,also provides strategies for teaching and learning,which are benefit for both theory and practice.First,defines noun,verb and adjective of coordinate compounds,and divided each parts of speech into three parts according to the relationship between two morphemes.Then,classifies these three parts into a number of small classes based on the meaning of n-morpheme,v-morpheme and adj-morpheme.Second,this paper holds that there are total two kinds of the relationship between morphemes and the whole meaning: direct and indirect.Also,the direct one includes four types: implement type,adduct type,supplement type,impairment type.Metaphor,metonymy and allusions are belong to the indirect one.Last,gives the strategies of its international teaching and learning.Comparing Developing Chinese · Comprehensive Course(2nd Edition)with The Outline of HSK Vocabulary,and pointing out its imperfections on degree,the part of speech and paraphrase,then giving advice on textbook arrangements;Pointing out some teaching methods for teachers;Meanwhile,giving some advice for students according to their particular situation.
