A Comparative Acoustic Study Between Mongolian Ordos Vernacular And Mongolian Standard Pronunciation

Based on the "Acoustic Parameter Database of Mongolian Ordos Vernacular", this dissertation analyses the speech sound of Mongolian Ordos vernacular with the acoustic analysis, and compares them with the Mongolian standard acoustic analysis results and finds out the differences and similarities of the speech sounds between Mongolian Ordos vernacular speech and standard Mongolian. The main purpose of this study is to provide a basis for the common view research to further reveal the inherent law of development of Mongolian speech sounds through deep-going analyses of Mongolian Ordos vernacular. It provides the basis for speech synthesis research to promote the popularization of standard Mongolian through the comparative acoustic study.The Introduction introduces the previous study of Mongolian Ordos vernacular studies, the purpose of the study, the research methods, instruments and equipment, pronunciation partner etc..The main part of the dissertation uses the acoustic method to analyze the sound length, pitch, sound intensity of Mongolian Ordos first-syllable short vowels, non-first-syllable short vowels, first-syllable long vowels, non-first-syllable long vowels analysis, and makes a comparative study of them to the acoustic analysis results of standard Mongolian; analyzes the weak short vowels of Mongolian Ordos vernacular from the point of view of phonetic conditions and timbres. On researching Mongolian Ordos complex vowels, it measures seven resonance peaks at different points, draws formant patterns, depicting the dynamic changes and summarizes the nature of its complex vowels. This dissertation also compares the vowel harmony and accents of Mongolian Ordos vernacular and standard Mongolian.The Concluding summarizes the contents of the dissertation.
