The A Collation and Supply to the Collection of Annotations and Textual Research on the Historical Records written byたきガゎすけの(?)(瀧川资言)has gained great success on the annotation and textual research.水沢利忠(水澤利忠) has continued the work and collected17kinds of codex of Historical Records,27kinds of related ancient editions and collations,28kinds of extant editions and10kinds of collations. He has also synthetically absorbed The Textual Research on Siku Quanshu, Shiji Zhiyi (The queries of Shiji) written by Liang Yusheng and The Collation of Three Scholars Annotation by Zhang Wenhu and finally wrote A Collation and Supply to the Collection of Annotations and Textual Research on the Historical Records by over130volumes. It has been the masterpiece of annotation for collecting the most kinds of the editions of Shiji until now. One can revise the extant edition of Shiji or distinguish the relations among every edition by using the tremendous materials recorded in that book. However scholars can not make judgments by the book because the different editions were just listed rather than being judged in The Collation and Correction. So, in this article, author indicated the useful varia lectios which can be used to revise the extant edition through unscrambling and textual researching of The Collation and Correction, expecting doing any contribution to the research of the collation of Shiji.This research has done a deep research, including the pandect of the research on Shiji in the theoretical level and the textual research in the domain of unscrambling the ancient books. In the domain of collation, the author mainly contrasted two kinds of editions and adopted many methods such as linguistics, phonology, Chinese scholium, and history. In the past, researches dwelled on absorbing and textual researching A Collation and Supply to the Collection of Annotations and Textual Research on the Historical Records by only using the materials recorded in the book to unscramble The Collation and Correction. In this aspect, this article has made the research on the collation of A Collation and Supply to the Collection of Annotations and Textual Research on the Historical Records go further.
