Emotion and cognition is the foundation of the development of children wisdom, personality perfecting and growth healthily, and they are intertwined through person’slife. As the important part of human mind, Language is the important way of thinking, expressing, learning and transferring the scientific and cultural knowledge. Peoplealways need processing intertwined emotional and semantic information. Too muchstimulation increased the requirement of cognitive resources, so that the brain hasbeen in a restless situation. How to ensure the complex information transferaccurately, improve the efficiency of the information transmission and expanding theeffect of information transmission, are the key issues that relates to whether thepersonal and social life can running healthy and efficient. The priming paradigm canimitate the processing of the information flow very well. Based on the review of theprevious affective priming and semantic priming, series of studies was designed toreasearch the general rules of information processing, and the characteristics ofdifferent individuals.Study1, constructed the standard library of experimental materials that suit tothe directly compare of affective priming and semantic priming. The experimentalmaterial library meet the following conditions: First, quantify the factors that mayaffect the priming effect, matching the information intensity of prime, the degree ofassociation between prime and target; Second, the number and characteristics of thematerial can meet the ERP experimental requirements; The last, the experimentalmaterials fit to primary school children.Study2,control the degree of processing of the prime by adjusting the length ofSOA, by analyzing the change of cognitive processing bias after priming, this studycompared the processing priority, the processing intensity of the two priming, thisstudy also concerned how the affective priming and semantic priming effect wasaffected by individual differences.Study3control the degree of processing of the prime by adjusting the length ofSOA, by analyzing the change of cognitive processing bias to the target stimulus afterpriming, this study compared the processing priority, the processing intensity of thetwo priming, researched how the affective priming and semantic priming effect wasaffected by individual differences. At the same time, compare the characteristics ofchildren’s brain electrical activity of the affective priming and semantic priming.Based on the analysis of the results in the series research, this study generallydiscussed the processing priority, the processing intensity of the two priming, andextends to the nature of whether the processing of emotional information andsemantic information independent parallel or interactive. The main conclusions weredrawn as follow: 1.The processing of emotional information prior to semantic information, andthis emotional information processing showed the features of automatic activation inthe priming paradigm.2.SOA settings is the key factor that influence the affective priming effect andsemantic priming effect. Affective priming effect is the largest when the SOA=300ms,then it attenuated when the SOA increasing. In contrast, semantic priming effectoccurs lately, and lasted after SOA more than300ms.3.The characteristics of the direction of cognitive processing and and efficiencyis distinctive after the affective priming and semantic priming. Among them, thedirection of cognitive processing was stable after the affective priming and the peoplewere more difficult to control it.4.The influence of tasks on affective priming and semantic priming is important. When the task based on two kinds of priming’s advantage respectively, two kinds ofpriming effect can occur.5.There are individual differences on the emotional processing and semanticprocessing. Processing for emotional information tends to be automatic, the childrenin the grade3and grade5were influenced larger by the emotion infromation. Thesemantic information processing was affected by the level of cognitive and learningexperience.6.There are either common or difference between the affective priming andsemantic priming. The common was that the relationship between the prime and thetarget have the same influence on the priming effect, it promote the processing if theprime and the target are consistant, and discourage the processing if they areinconsistency. They are different in the influence degree of the emotional information.Compared with the semantic priming, the influence of the emotional valence on theaffective priming is more larger, more faster, and more difficult to control.
