The deaf students’ affective priming usually refers to such a phenomenon, when the emotional valence of the start stimulus and target stimulus is consistent, the processing of target stimulus is faster and more accurate than when they are inconsistent. The affective priming effect research has been conducted more than20years and has made some progress, it is to reveal and study the relationship between the cognition and emotion. Most of the affective priming effect research in normal human subjects, there is little affective priming research about the deaf students. The deaf students rely mainly on visual access to get information, the written language and picture are two most important carriers for them to get information, the deaf students not only can learn knowledge but also realize the emotions and feelings, the emotions and feelings can influence subsequent cognitive activities. The deaf students has its characteristics on emotion, the affective priming research about the deaf students has important theoretical and practical significance, it can not only enhance our understanding of deaf students, but also provide heoretical guidance for the deaf students about rehabilitation, learning, social development and integrate into society, at the same time it can help us to grasp the affective priming characteristics of deaf students, and provide some guidance to teaching.This research focuses on the subject of deaf students to explore different SOA and material types’ affective priming effect and its characteristics, the research includes the threshold affective priming experiment and subthreshold affective priming experiment. Two experiments select two deaf high schools’ three grades students from Tianjin and Xi’ an as subjects. The threshold affective priming is a three factors mixed design of2(gender:male, female) x2(affective priming conditions:start, non-start) x2(material types:words, pictures), which inspects whether the affective priming effect accurs or not, if different gender and material types’ affective priming effect have significant difference. The subthreshold affective priming is a three factors mixed design of2(gender:male,female) x2(affective priming conditions:start, non-start) x2(material types:words, pictures), which inspects whether the affective priming effect accurs or not, if different gender and material types’ affective priming effect have significant difference. This research conclusions as follows:(1) The threshold and subthreshold affective priming experiments appear the affective priming effect.(2)The girls’ threshold affective priming is better than boys, girls and boys did not differ significantly on the subthreshold affective priming effect.(3)The types of emotional material have no significant difference on the threshold and subthreshold affective priming.
