The logistics industry is a product of the higher level development of commodity economy and social productivity. It is a composite of the service industry, the integration of transportation, warehousing, and information and so on, and is a very important part of the national economy. Modern logistics management, combined with modern science and technology, information technology in the new economic era, has the very significant status which cannot underestimated, especially the development of third-party logistics and supply chain management, occupies a pivotal position in the modern service industry, while economic development is also a key aspect of the national economy artery connecting link between the various departments of the national economy, to undertake the production and consumption, logistics is also the precondition to continue the process of continuous production. The development of modern logistics has become a measure of how developed a country or region or industry economic competitiveness is, and is also one measure of the degree of modernization and comprehensive national strength.Spatial information technology for spatial attributes and spatial data capture, edit, store, query, display, etc., can also make the system user to predict the spatial information, analysis and supervision, which made decision making and management practices based on spatial information analysis. Thus, spatial information technology, from full control and management of logistics processes, providing customers with high quality and efficient logistics services, are of modern logistics management has a very important and irreplaceable role. Modern logistics, both in the decision-making level, or at the operational level, need support from spatial information.Spatial information technology in remote sensing technology in modern logistics management is currently supported only as a secondary database update, and not a lot of modern logistics management for specific research and applications. Access to remote sensing data has the faster speed, short cycle and time-sensitivity. Acquired data can reflect the many natural and cultural information on the planet, and remote sensing data sources in a row, with comparable. Remote sensing technology in the DMSP-OLS nighttime image data can be effectively monitor and evaluate human activities, such as monitoring of urban sprawl and urban heat island effect. Night lights can also be used to measure the intensity of GDP, electricity consumption, carbon emissions and water footprint.Based on the above study, the main objective of the paper is the analysis DMSP-OLS nighttime image data used in the modern logistics management. This paper first reviews the important role in modern logistics management of human economic and social analysis of the logistics management process from traditional to modern. Combined with the development of spatial information technology, comprehensive discussed spatial information technology in modern logistics management. Secondly, designed the logistics management activities for transportation activities regression model combined with DMSP-OLS nighttime lights data, select the relevant data of logistics activities in the most representative cargo transport data, including the total freight, road freight and rail freight, and analyzed. I first prove the DMSP-OLS nighttime lights data on Chinese provincial-level administrative units of cargo estimation and analysis capabilities with the case in mainland China, and then the nighttime lights data products on the Chinese mainland logistics data were lights on the decomposition of the image space element, got1km*1km like logistics meta-level data on the proposed new application based on the direction of the night lights of modern logistics management data, such as the regional logistics analysis and logistics network perfect.
