Decorative bamboo filament is a new material made with bamboo filament by weaving or adhesive.It mainly used in indoor wall and ceiling decoration because high utilization of raw material,elegant adornment effect,modeling diversity and operational simplicity.This material can lead to the new trend of home decoration.However,the performance of the product has not been researched,especially the safety,durability and comfortableness.Therefore,the research on the performance of decorative bamboo filament not only improve the product performance and formulate test standard,but also enhance the additional value and series promotion.In this paper,phyllostachys edulis(carr.)J.Houz was processed into two kinds of decorative bamboo filaments,including outerlayer(OB)and inner layer(IB).The material had been treated with Guanylurea phosphate and boron-containing(boric:acid: borax=1:1)flame retardants,respectively.On this basis,wood oil,varnish and IPBC silicone acrylic emulsion coated as anti-mold.In order to investigate safety,durability and comfortableness of decorative bamboo filaments,five representative properties were selected to studied,which was flame retardant,anti-mold,visual characteristics,adjustment humidity property and light aging resistance.The comprehensive evaluation system was built on the basis of quantitative and qualitative methods.Finally,three types of bamboo decorative filaments performance were comprehensive evaluated.The main research conclusions were as follow:(1)The combustion experiments showed the following results: compared to IB,the THR of OB was higher than IB which showed the same in control and treatment.Nevertheless,the TSP of OB was lower than IB after the fire retarding treatment with boron-containing(boric:acid: borax=1:1)flame retardants.Compared with untreated decorative bamboo filament,the combustion performance were changed by flame retardants,whose peaks of heat release rate(HRR)and smoke produce rate(SPR)were declined and delayed after treatment,the total heat release(THR)and the total smoke production(TSP)of treated sample reduced.The Guanylurea phosphate had a better result of hot suppression and Boron flame retardants(boric:acid: borax=1:1)had a better result of smoke suppression.The thermo gravimetric analysis experiments showed thermal degradation process was changed after treatment.The carbon residue rate of two fire retardant treatment groups both increased significantly.The residual mass fraction of Guanylurea phosphate group increased from 6.78% to 16.21%,while that of boron-containing group increased to 33.62% at 800?.Guanylurea phosphate flame retardant had better flame retardant efficiency than the other.(2)The experimental of anti-fungal performance results showed that anti-fungal effect of NP group was slightly greater than control group.It could effectively isolate and control of a variety of mold and blue bacteria for IPBC silicone acrylic emulsion(NP-C)coating,the prevention and control effect had already reached 100%,which was more effective than wood oil and varnish group.The values of heat release and smoke release of wood oil or varnish group were both far higher than that of flame retardant treatment group(NP).The heat release value of NP-C group was a little more than NP group,which indicated that better smoke suppression performance than that of NP group.These results indicated that IPBC silicone acrylic emulsion(NP-C)as surface modification agents could simultaneously achieve mildew prevent discoloration and smoke suppression effect.(3)The lightness L* of OB group were ranged from 70.71~74.56,while that of IB group between 77.71 and 82.27.The color commodity index of metric red-green axis a* were ranged from 5.32 to 5.65 for OB group,and 3.17~3.44 for IB group.The color commodity index of metric yellow-blue axis b* were ranged 27.59~28.84 for former and 21.91~24.72 for later.It showed that color was mainly nearly yellow and orange.The gloss value of GZL was greater than that of GZT,and the value of IPBC silicone acrylic emulsion coated material was the best.The interior from decorative bamboo filament showed visual and psychological impression of “natural”,“warm” and “decorative”.(4)A series of experimental tests using NORDTEST method for evaluating the moisture buffering capacity and the quality change rule of six decorative bamboo filaments had been explored in high humidity environment(RH60% ~ RH85%).The impact of Moisture Buffering Value(MBV)with indoor humidity was investigated in interior architecture example.The results showed that the decorative bamboo filaments all had the ability of humidity control.The changes of quality appeared step-like rising trend.Furthermore,the order of moisture buffering performance for different treatment group respectively was NP>C>NP-C,OB>IB in the same treatment and MBVabsorption>MBVrelease in the test cycle.(5)After 160 h light aging,the parenchyma cells of contrast group and NP group all showed different degree of damage,crack were appeared at weak point of the parenchyma cells,and angle accidentally and compound middle appeared clear stratification.With the increase of irradiation time(335h),the crack was extended along pits or near pits to several ones.After the aging test,Guanylurea phosphate in parenchyma cells turned into irregular block and coating of IPBC silicone acrylic emulsion was as cracking-free.With the increase of aging time,the color of contrast group and NP group was darker and NP-C group turned yellow.After light irradiation,lightness value kept on decreasing,red-green parameter a and yellow-blue parameter b increased.The rule of lightness value descend range was ?Lcontrast>?LNP-C>?LNP;the rule of red-green parameter showed NP-C>NP>Contrast in 5~240h section,and NP>NP-C>Contrast in the rest;the rule of red-green parameter b always showed NP-C>Contrast>NP in whole range,differently,the rule of aberration was NP-C>NP>Contrast,which indicted that photostability decreased after flame retardant-mold proof treatment.The FITR spectrum of NP and Contrast showed the peaks that related to lignin aromatic absorption all decreased apparently,among which 1512cm-1,1462cm-1,1330cm-1 and 1244cm-1 almost disappeared.Peaks at 1735cm-1,1050cm-1 and 897cm-1 represent the absorption of polysaccharide such as cellulose and hemicelluloses all still existed after 335 hours light irradiation.In NP-C group,the peaks that related to lignin aromatic absorption all kept stable during light irradiation,by contrast,the peak at 1111cm-1,1353cm-1,1640cm-1 and 1728cm-1 which represent IPBC silicone acrylic emulsion enhanced.(6)The comprehensive evaluation system of decorative bamboo filaments could be divided into three levels,which one level consisted of primary evaluation index with two aspects,secondary evaluation index with five types.There were 20 subitems in a three-level evaluation index.The evaluation index factor weighted order of three types respectively as: material performance(0.591)> environmental performance(0.409),comfort performance(0.354)> safety(0.348)> durability(0.296),operating performance(0.545)> Environment and energy consumption(0.455).As a conclusion,the values of contrast,NP group and NP-C group was 79.451,82.018 and 83.217,respectively.The values was subject to “normal” for contrast and “good” for modified group(NP and NP-C group),which revealed that the modified products had better application value.
