The safety of the crossing pedestrians is an important topic of road traffic safety. According to the research on traffic conflict between pedestrians and vehicle at un-signal crosswalk, the aim of the paper is to present a model of fuzzy inference system to analysis the decision-making mechanism of the pedestrians'crossing behavior at un-signal crosswalk and advance the method of security assessment for the pedes-trians'crossing behavior based on fuzzy reasoning. The main contributions are as follows:(1)To investigate the theory basis of fuzzy reasoning based on intuitionistic fuzzy sets, the logic operators on intuitionistic fuzzy domain are studied analytically. By introducing the fuzzy difference operator, the properties of the residual intuitionis-tic fuzzy implication induced by the left-continuous t-norm are investigated and the unified form of residual implications which indicates the relationship between intu-itionistic fuzzy implications and fuzzy implications is presented. The explicit formulas of four intuitionistic implications are provided according to the unified form. Then the concept of intuitionistic fuzzy difference operator is proposed, its properties on the lattice structure of intuitionistic fuzzy sets are studied and the unified form of intuitionistic fuzzy difference operator is presented as well.(2) The algebra properties of the co-residuated lattice are investigated by intro-ducing the fuzzy ideal and intuitionistic fuzzy ideal. The notions of prime fuzzy ideal and prime intuitionistic fuzzy ideal of the co-residuated lattice are introduced, and the representation theorems of the fuzzy ideal and intuitionistic fuzzy ideal are provided.(3)Based on the theory of intuitionistic fuzzy operators, the intuitionistic fuzzy reasoning mechanism is investigated. First, according to the triple I method of fuzzy reasoning, the triple I method and decomposition method for solving the IFMP prob-lem of intuitionistic fuzzy reasoning for a residual intuitionistic implication are pro-posed, and two types of solving formulas are obtained. Moreover, the reductivity of the methods is discussed and it is proved that the Triple I and decomposition methods for the IFMP problem possess the virtue of reductivity. The solution of IFMP coincide with the solution of FMP as the the intuitionistic fuzzy sets degenerate into fuzzy sets, Finally, the paper proposes the triple I method for the IFMP problem. Similarly, the triple I method and decomposition method for the IFMT problem are studied. The Triple I method for IFMT satisfies the local reductivity instead of the reductivity. In order to improve the quality of the Triple I method for lack of reductivity, a dual Triple I method for IFMT problem is presented. Moreover, a decomposition method of IFMT is provided and the reductivity of methods is investigated.(4)The inference mechanism and solving methods for the multiple rule multiple input (MRMI) model of intuitionistic fuzzy approximate reasoning system are studied in depth. The multiple I method and decomposition method for MRMI intuitionistic fuzzy reasoning are presented. Moreover, The inference mechanism of the asymmetric type for intuitionistic fuzzy reasoning is discussed and the inference method of the model for the intuitionistic fuzzy former and fuzzy rear is proposed.(5) By the method of fuzzy reasoning, the pedestrians' crossing behavior at un-signal crosswalk is investigated. The decision-making mechanism of the pedes-trians' crossing behavior is analyzed and the fuzzy inference system of double in-put (distance and velocity) single output (risk) is built. According to the real data of un-signal crosswalk, the behavior pattern of the pedestrians are got, the decision-making of the pedestrians'crossing behavior is analyzed, and the safety suggestions for the pedestrians and drivers are proposed.
