Obejects:To investigate Taichung hyperlipidemia patients' deficiency and excess syndromes and related physicochemical index. Methods:Clinical investigation was carried out to collect and analyze hyperlipidemia patient Hu Si-zhen"s materials and use TCM syndrome element to analyze the condition of deficiency. excess syndromes of the zang-fu organs and which is the primary and the secondary, and the hyperlipidemia index. The physicochemical material basis of the syndrome element was explored too.Results:(1) There was difference of the integral of syndrome element in disease site in patients with hyperlipidemia. It decreased from higher to lower in the spleen, kidney, liver, heart and lung. The integral of the spleen syndrome element was obviously higher than that in the kidney, liver, heart and lung and there was statistical difference (P<0.01); the integral of the kidney syndrome element was higher than that of the liver, heart and lung, and there was statistical difference (P<0.01); the integral of the liver syndrome element was higher than that of the heart and lung, and there was statistical difference (P<0.01);.the integral of the heart syndrome element was higher than that of the lung. and there was statistical difference (P<0.01).(2) There was difference of the integral of syndrome element in excess syndrome in patients with hyperlipidemia. It decreased from higher to lower in terms of phlegm, blood stasis, qi stagnation, dampness, cold and heat. The integral of the blood stasis syndrome element was obvious higher than that of qi stagnation, dampness. cold and heat, and there was statistical difference (P<0.05); the integral of the qi stagnation syndrome element was higher than that of dampness, cold and heat and there was statistical difference (P<0.05).Phlegm, blood stasis and qi stagnation were the main cause of the excess syndrome in hyperlipidemic patients.(3) There was difference of the integral of syndrome element in deficiency syndrome in patients with hyperlipidemia. It decreased from higher to lower from qi deficiency, yin deficiency, yang deficiency and blood deficiency. The integral of the qi and yin deficiency syndrome element was obviously higher than that of yang and blood deficiency, and there was statistical difference (P<0.05). Deficiency syndrome in hyperlipidemia patients were usually marked by qi deficiency or yin deficiency.(4) TG content of the phlegm syndrome element in patients with hyperlipidemia was the highest, in comparison with that of the blood stasis, qi stagnation, dampness, cold and heat syndrome element, there was statistical difference (P<0.05).TG content of the qi deficiency syndrome element in patients with hyperlipidemia was higher than that of the other three, and there was marked statistical difference (P<0.05).TG content of blood deficiency syndrome element in patients with hyperlipidemia was higher than that of the other three, and there was marked statistical difference (P<0.01). TG content of the phlegm, blood stasis syndrome element in patients with hyperlipidemia was higher that of qi stagnation, and cold syndrome (P<0.05)?In comparison with the HDL-C content of the qi. yin, yang and blood deficiency syndrome element in patients with hyperlipidemia there was no marked statistical difference. (P<0.05), the content of LDL-C of the heat syndrome element was the lowestin comparison with that of the phlegm, blood stasis, qi stagnation, dampness, and cold there was marked statistical difference; LDL-C content of the yin deficiency syndrome element in patients with hyperlipidemia was higher than that of qi deficiency syndrome, and there was marked statistical difference (P<0.05). LDL-C content of the blood deficiency syndrome element in patients with hyperlipidemia was lower than that of yin deficiency syndrome.and there was marked statistical difference (P<0.05) HDL-C content of the phlegm syndrome element in patients with hyperlipidemia was higher than that of blood stasis cold, and heat syndrome, and there was statistical difference (P<0.05)Conclusion:(1) There is difference of the integral of syndrome element in disease site in patients with hyperlipidemia in Taichung area. They are related to the heart, liver, spleen, lung and kidney. The frequency distribution from higher to lower is the spleen, kidney, liver, heart and lung. Combining with the syndrome element analysis of the five zang disease site, we can deduce that hyperlipidemia is related to the problem in the spleen, kidney and then the liver and heart, and it nearly has nothing to do with the lung.(2) According to analysis, the first 10 syndrome elements of patients with hyperlipidemia in Taichung area are phlegm, qi deficiency, blood stasis, qi stagnation, yin deficiency, dampness, yang deficiency, blood deficiency, cold and heat.(3) Among their deficiency syndromes the main ones are qi deficiency and yin deficiency, while among their excess syndromes the main ones are those pathological products like phlegm and blood stasis. According to clinical manifestations and disease site syndrome element, most of the hyperlipidemia cases are characterized by deficiency in nature and excess in appearance, such as lowered functioning of the spleen and kidney, spleen qi deficiency, kidney qi or yin deficiency, and phlegm blood stasis, etc.(4) Blood lipid parameter is connected with hyperlipidemia syndrome element:When TG content is getting higher, it suggests in the excess syndrome phlegm is the chief cause, while in the deficiency syndrome qi deficiency is mostly seen. When TG content is getting lower, it suggests blood deficiency is mostly seen. Higher TG content may be a sign of pathological product like phlegm and blood stasis. Lower LDL-C may be related to the heat syndrome element in the excess syndrome. There is no specific characteriestic in the excess syndrome element and deficiency syndrome element.
