Synopsis of Golden Chamber is a classic book of syndrome differentiation of miscellaneous diseases.The book includes different categories of disease,which is discussed in separate chapters.However,the pathogenesis of miscellaneous disease is much more complicated than that of exogeneous febrile disease.While ShangHan Lun uses the Six Meridian Syndrome Differentiation method,miscellaneous disease involve the organs of heart,liver,spleen,lung,kidney,the pathogenesis involve Qi,Xue,Phlegm,excessive fluid,cold,heat,deficiency,exceesive,etc.In addition to that,Synopsis of Golden Chamber,discovered by Wang Zhu in Song Dynasty at department of academic affair,was a simplified version of the original one.Scholars in later ages feels difficult to understand the exact meaning of the scriptures,albeit evolution of new theory.Take MaHuang Decotion Family and Guizhi Decotion Family as example,it is recognized as pungent warm diaphoresis decotion,but in Synopsis of Golden Chamber,they are used in different ways,as compared to ShangHan Lun.The research try to discuss how Zhang Zhongjing manipulate the decotion families,in order to accommodate to the pathogenic factor,pathogenesis and the location of miscellaneous disease,hence to compare the principle of treatment between ZhanZhongjing and the scholars in modern times.The thesis was divided into three main parts.The first part was the paper review section.In this section,literature from the past to nowadays is reviewed,and it includes:1.modern research results about the MaHuang Decotion Family and Guizhi Decotion Family in Synopsis of Golden Chamber,2.The function and properties of the main drugs,MaHuang,Guizhi and Peony,3.the pathogenesis and therapeutic method of Lijei,brain stroke and Qifen diseases,4.The clinical report of special decotion,e.g.Xumin Decotion,Cinnamon decotion removing paeoniae Alba And Adding Eohedrae Asari And Aconiti Decotion.The second part was the discussion about the theory of application of MaHuang Decotion Family and Guizhi Decotion Family in Synopsis of Golden Chamber.For the part of Guizhi Decotion,it was further divided into four parts:1.the relation between theory of Ying and Wei in Yellow Emperor's Canon of Medicine and Guizhi Decotion,2.the application of Guizhi Decotion in ShangHan Lun,3.the properties of Guizhi and Peony recorded in Shennong's Classic of Meteria Medica,is discussed in relation to the usage by Zhang ZhongJing,4.The application of Guizhi Decotion Family in Synopsis of Golden Chamber.The MaHuang Decotion Family in Synopsis of Golden Chamber is derived from the three categories:MaHuang Decotion,Minor Decotion of Green Dragon,YueBi Decotion.The Family was discussed in the disease-wise,it included Damp disease,Convulsive disease,Edema,Stroke,Lijie disease,Palpitation,jaundice,Cough.Similar to the discussion of Guizhi Decotion Family,the pathogenic factor,pathogenesis,treatment method and the composition of decotion would be discussed.In the end,the principle of usage of the Guizhi Decotion Family and the MaHuang Decotion Family in miscellaneous disease was summarized.The last part of thesis was the summary.A full summary is made about the topic of thesis.Also,a discussion was written to try to give some necessary explanation to doubts that some readers may raise after reading the thesis.Furthermore,the thesis's sustainability research would be discussed.
