There are three forces in the anti-new literature movement of China. They are the old school scholars represented by Lin Shu,Xue Heng school and the late Jia Yin school. In the history of new literature, they are considered as conservative for a long time. The researchers don't pay mach attention to them.Since the 1990s,the national studies fever has caused people's concern for Xue Heng school.Along with the publication of Wu Mi's diary and chronological life, people know more about Xue Heng school.Although academics.such as Shen Weiwei,Gao Hengwen, have given more attention to them, but the study of Xue Heng school is not sufficientXue Heng school is only one of the three forces in the anti-new literature movement of China.People neglect the other two forces. In this doctoral dissertation,I will give a comprehensive overview about th anti-new literature movement of China. If the opposition of Lin Shu et al. is passive,Xue Heng school and the late Jia Yin school take responsibility for the rescue of Chinese culture. In this paper, I select 3 years. They are 1919,1922,1925. In 1919,the fortress of Chinese old literature began to collapse. In 1922, Mei Guangdi and other core members of the Xue Heng school, who were gathered in Nanjing, published the first edition of Xue Heng.Taking this magazine as the center, the anti-new literature movement of the Xue Heng school lasted for more than 10 years. In 1925,Zhang Shizhao recreated the magazine of Jia Yin,which was called Jia Yin weekly. The anti-new literature movement of the late Jia Yin school started.Focusing on the three years,I study their activities in my elaboration. The three forces of the anti-new literature movement in China are dispersive.Their views are not the same. And they don't have the intersection. They all stand on the opposite side of the new literature. From this point, they belong to a faction. They have tride to protect the Chinese culture.Their efforts are valuable. We need to give them a new evaluation and orientation in the history of literature.
