| The translation of the Buuddhist Scriptures in the Easteran Han Dynasty’s is important to study the middle Chinese.We notice that Dharma-Mirror Sūtra(《法镜经》),which is translated by AnXuan and Yan Fodiao,is different to other scriptures.However,only this scripture is preserved,meanwhile,its discussed about the Buddist principle and precepts.Therefore,its research is less than other scripture.We want to use different versions to research the Dharma-Mirror Sūtra(《法镜经》).So this article compares words in Dharma-Mirror Sūtra(《法镜经》)、The Sūtra on the Inquiry of Ugra the Grhapati Concerning Bodhisattva-conduct[郁迦罗越问菩萨行经》)and The Section on Ugra the Grhapati(《郁伽长者会》).They are the different Chinese versions of sutra.This paper is divided by concepts and part-of-speech,including nouns,verb,adjective and so on.The first part introduces its research situation,research value and the general situation of differences and similarities.The second chapter compares nouns,including character,nature,words and faith.The third chapter compares verbs,including movement,psychology,interpersonal and practice words.The fourth chapter is about adjective.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.By compared these content,we found that they had similarities in using words.For example,they used the native literature and Buddhist sutra literature.Also they used transliteration and words translated by meaning.We noticed that Dharma-Mirror Sūtra(《法镜经》)has the following characteristics:First,the content of Dharma-Mirror(《法镜经》)is concise,and often uses words translated by meaning instead of transliteration.In contrast,the other versions have many transliteration.Secondly,Dharma-Mirror Sūtra often use native words,others use Buddhist sutra literature more than it.And it has the modal particle,which is special.Thirdly,it uses phrases when others use lexical.At last,we found replace of some common words,such as Ju(居)and Zhu(住).Native words and Buddhist sutra words also could be found developed.We also found that each translator has his translation style.Anxuan avoided using transliteration.Dharmaraksa(竺法护)’s translations have labels for clarity which seem to be logical.He also has his lable words.The Section on Ugra the Grhapati(《郁迦长者会》)ofen use Buddhist sutra literature,because of the marure of Buddhist sutra literature.It always repeat one concept or a part of contect. |
