The family instruction is an important part of traditional culture and an important form of educations in ancient China.The Pre-Qin to Northern and Southern Dynasties is an important period in the history of the family instructions,which experienced the process of formation,development and molding.The social structure of the co-construction of family and state determines that the ancient family instructions value the inheritance and development of family and clan,and treat self-improvement?family-regulation and country-adminstation as a one thing.As patriarchs have different cultivation and families have different traditions,there are differences in the contents of family instructions.This period mainly focused on the royal and the intellectual stratum.The ancient academic thoughts,as the superstructure of the society,play critical theoretical guidance role in the family instructions. Among them,Confucianism takes a dominant place.Mean while,the inheritance and development of the family instructions also takes effect on the development of traditional culture.Pre-Qin family instructions are divided into four stages:before the Western Zhou Dynasty, Western Zhou Dynasty,Spring and Autumn period and Warring States period.The literatures of before the Western Zhou Dynasty are questionable,so my paper only briefly mention it.The royal family instructions represented by the Duke of Zhou mainly admonish People in a political sense in the Western Zhou Dynasty.They sensed the significance of individual behaviors to the family development.The intellectual family instructions centre on the family-regulation and political pursuing.They focus on individual virtue,filial piety,etiquette and family tradition.They possess scattered and concise features.Through the analysis of the relationship between the Confucianism,Taoism,Legalism,Mohism and their family instructions,my paper argues that both of them are interacting,and Confucianism itself pay more attention to family is more suitable for the needs of the family instructions.Due to the limitation of the time and literatures,my paper only makes a brief outline of Qin family instructions.Han family instructions are divided into the royal part,the intellectual part,and female parts.They attach great importance to the social development,including living morally,learning to the politics,according to the ritual practice.They also attach great importance to the education female dependence to male and the integrity of the intellectual.From the perspective of social history,my paper analyzes the relationship between the intellectual and the family instructions,and argues that the formation of the family instructions is closely related to the era,the self-cultivation,and the family tradition.From the perspective of culture ideology, my paper analyzes the influence of Confucianism,Taoism,Legalism on the family instructions,and argues that Confucianism is the main one.Wei jin and Northern and Southern Dynasties family instructions are divided into Wei jin and Northern and Southern Dynasites parts,with the comprehensive,detailed and universal features.They require the descendance to learn Confucianism,Taoism,Buddmism,metaphysics, to study to be a politician,to be filial piety to families,to be compliance to family ritual,to be prudent in own words and deeds,and to protect theirselves.They require the female to learn four virtues and minor talent.In terms of ideology.My paper analyzes the relationship between the family instructions and Confucianism,Taoism,Buddism,metaphysics,and argues that Confucianism is still the dominant ideology in this period.From the perspective of family development, the paper analyzes the relationship between the family and the family instructions,and argues that the differnt family traditions makes the different family instructions,but they all pay attention to Confucianism.This is mainly from the royal family instrucions of Three Kingdoms period and Southern Dynasties,the high gate Nobles family instructions represented by Langye Wang's Clan and the Xie Clan of Chen,the metaphysicians family instructions represented by Iikang and Ruanji.At last, the paper analyzes the influence of the Yan family instructions on the Yan clan's inheritance and development.Because of the stability and continuity of the family structure,family instructions from Pre-Qin Dynasty to Northern and Southern are whole one,is with emphasising on blood affection,scholarly study,filial piety,etiquette,official career and family heritage.Today,we can learn from ancient family instrucions,combine it with the demands of time,carry forward the essence of the family instrucions to combine with building a moderately prosperous society.It is an important academic research projects...
