In November,2013,the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Communist Party of China Central Committee proposed an overall goal of deepening reform in a comprehensive way,which is "to complete and develop the socialism with Chinese characteristics,and to promote the modernization of national governance system and governance capacity",which officially began the reform of the political modernization.Analyzed from its content,the modernization of national governance,so called as the Fifth Modernization,consists of the modernization of social order with framework as its main content,and individual quality,especially the double connotation of political quality-oriented human modernization.On that basis,education,especially the ideological and political education centering on the cultivation of political awareness closely correlates with the modernization of national governance,assuming significant responsibility in the process of political reform.The prerequisite for ideological and political education to shouldering such responsibility and play its role in the modernization of national governance is to constantly pursue modernization of itself.In other words transformation of social order can only be achieved by a developed ideological and political education through the modernization of human,which is the logical basis of understanding the underlying relationship between the modernization of national governance and ideological and political education.The development of ideological and political education in the process of modernization of national governance can be regarded as a dialectical unification of outcome and process.On one hand,the development of ideological and political education can be taken as a practical development process which satisfies the internal demand of modernization.On the other hand,the development of ideological and political education also refers to an existing state which it has already conformed to the inner demand of modernization in nowadays.This dissertation summarizes the gist of practicing ideological and political education under the modernization of national governance from three dimensions:Firstly,to find the development of the ideological and political education from the perspective of its development process;Secondly,to see if the current state of ideological and political education matches with the internal demand of modernization from the perspective of current situation;Thirdly,to see what strategy should be chosen to realize transformation of the ideological and political education under the context of national modernization from the perspective of development tendency.This dissertation tries to use the term "development" to cover all content talked above,hoping to interpret the transition of ideological and political education from the perspective of modernization of national governance in an objective,accurate and scientific way.Modernization of national governance,ideological and political education and development are three key words in this dissertation with modernization of national governance as its research perspective,ideological and political education as the research field and development as the specific research target.The body part consisting of five chapters will discuss the issue orderly around those three key words.Chapter one offers theoretical interpretation of the modernization of national governance and ideological and political education.The aim of this chapter is to clarify basic concepts for follow-up research and illustrate the relationship among core concepts.This chapter mainly includes three parts:firstly,a definition and interpretation of the "modernization of national governance" and theories concerned;secondly,a clarification of "ideological and political education" and its relevant concepts;finally,a discussion of the intrinsic relationship between modernization of national governance and ideological and political education.Chapter two contains the development history and logic analysis of the ideological and political education.The aim is to reinterpret the development of the ideological and political education from the perspective of a country's changes on the basis of illustrating modern ideas about Marxism,so as to discover the significance of the ideological and political education in the process of national modernization.This chapter is divided into two parts:firstly,it criticized the Capitalist Modernism and reviewed Marxist Modernism from the perspective of Marxism;Then,the author reviewed the development of the ideological and political education of the Communist Party of People's Republic of China since the party's founding in China and presented characteristics in different development phases.Chapter three indicates the functional position of the ideological and political education in the strategy of national governance modernization.The aim of this chapter is to describe the latest modern landscape of national governance modernization from a theoretical perspective,and to decide the ought-to-be functional position of the ideological and political education.This chapter mainly has two parts.Firstly,starting from the definition and historical retrospect,the author launches the premise thinking about the location of functions of the ideological and political education.Secondly,from the political,economic,cultural and talent training perspectives,the author declares the realistic functions that the ideological and political education should carry in the process of modernization of national governance.Chapter four states the demands of the development of the ideological and political education in the process of national governance modernization.The aim of this chapter is to review challenges faced by the ideological and political education currently under the background of promoting national governance modernization.This chapter mainly includes three parts:firstly,the author explores core appeals for ideas of the ideological and political education from the perspective of the modernization of national governance;secondly,the author clarifies the appeal of subjects in the people-oriented ideological and political education from the perspective of modernization of national governance;thirdly,the author summarizes challenges to the methods of the ideological and political education arising from the modernization of national governance from specific perspectives concerning the teaching subject,teaching methods and carriers of teaching and so on.Chapter five illustrates strategies of developing the ideological and political education in the process of national governance modernization.The research aim of this chapter is to progressively demonstrate developmental strategies of the modernization of the ideological and political education,centering on challenges that it faced in the progress of national governance modernization.Three parts are included in this chapter:firstly,the author explores methods of completing concepts of the ideological and political education under the guidance of "the mode of systematic thinking";secondly,the author explores specific strategies of developing the ideological and political education under the guidance of"all-round development of people";thirdly,the author explores specific strategies of developing the ideological and political education under the guidance of "facing the difference between different individuals".
