The mass line is not only an important part of Mao Zedong Thought, but also one of the living souls of Mao Zedong Thought. At the same time,it is also the greatest political advantage of the Communist Party of China and still has the necessity and importance to keep pace with the times under the new historical conditions.According to the inherent characteristics of the research object, this paper will systematically interpret and deeply study Mao Zedong's mass line from the perspective of political philosophy, and trying to explore the political logic and the law of social history movement. The text has eight parts in total, which is consist of six main chapters, the introduction and the conclusion. In the introduction, the research object and the research method of the text are generally discussed. In addition, this thesis provides an overview of the political philosophy of foreign scholars on Mao Zedong's mass line,as well as the research methods of political philosophy. The first chapter is divided into five periods to describe the process of Mao Zedong's mass line, revealing Mao's idea—budding, formation, maturity, development and tortuous evolution. That is to say,it will historically show the research object itself, and pave the way for the specific analysis of the subsequent chapters. The second chapter establishes the essential stipulation of Mao Zedong's mass line, and providing an analytical framework for the specific research of subsequent chapters. The argument structure is divided into three levels:Firstly, according to Mao Zedong's own view, the core issue of the mass line is attributed to the relationship between the party and the masses.Generally speaking,it's about the relationship between the leaders and the masses.Secondly, according to the theory of power structure in political philosophy, the relationship between leadership and mass is defined as the relationship between subject and object, and the basic paradigm of political philosophical analysis is established. Finally, the two basic styles of subject and object relations, namely, the opposition and identity between subject and object, regulate the positive and negative nature of the mass line.In other words,it reveals the essence of mass line and bureaucratic opposition from the perspective of philosophy. The subsequent four chapters of the paper are a concrete interpretation of Mao Zedong's mass line.In order to avoid indulging in empty talk or over-interpretation,the analysis and interpretation from the perspective of political philosophy will focus on four classic propositions which are historically precipitated and universally accepted. The four propositions are divided into two groups, the first two "all for the masses" and "all rely on the masses" constitute a new group, through which the core categories are the purpose and means. The latter two "coming from the masses" and"going to the masses" constitute another group, through which the core categories are the cognition and practice. The second chapter reveals the subject and the object, together with the purpose and means, cognition and practice, the six categories constitute the basic paradigm of political philosophy interpretation in this paper. In the third chapter,we study the fundamental purpose of Mao Zedong's mass line, with political philosophy analysis of the proposition—"all for the masses".First of all,we can deduce the interests of the party and the interests of the people have ontological identity from the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly. And then I argues that the ontological or purpose of the structural features of this identity are the interests of the people, the party is only a tool or means to serve the people. In the fourth chapter,we study the dynamic structure of Mao Zedong's mass line, with political philosophy analysis of the proposition—"all rely on the masses".To argue for the political principle that the working class party in a backward country need to depend on the broadest masses of people. To prove that depending on the masses of people is the fundamental guarantee to defeat a powerful opponent with a weak forth, and overcome all the difficulties. To explain the masses are not only value subject, but also dynamic subject. What's more,Mao Zedong's mass line require high unity of the two ideas—"For the masses" and "depending on masses".In the fifth chapter,we study the epistemological characteristics of Mao Zedong's mass line through the interpretation of the proposition—"from the masses".Through the research,we can learn the process and the law of the practice of the masses to the leaders' cognition. The specific contents include that the epistemological historical materialism and the dialectical materialism base on" coming from the masses",the subjective attitudes and scientific methods needed "coming from the masses",and the principle of democratic centralism embodied in "coming from the masses".In the sixth chapter,we study the practice theory of Mao Zedong's mass line through the interpretation of the proposition—"going to the masses".Through the research,we can learn the process and the law of the leader's cognition into the practice of masses. The specific contents include the necessity of propagating and educating masses, the basic principles of mobilizing and organizing the masses, the ways and means for the masses movement, and the balance and unification of the masses to liberate themselves and the party's leadership over the masses. In the conclusion,it expounds the inheritance and development of Mao Zedong's mass line in the post-Mao era, mainly showing in three aspects:First, the variations in the political theme of masses line;Second, the expansion of the masses social foundation;Third, the enhancement of the masses autonomy.
