The 'Public Interest Lawyer' In Chine:A New Type Of Cause Lawyer?

My study is about the role of Chinese publicinterest lawyers in the case of housing demolition of peasants.Firstly,I want to know if there is a legal profession in China who has some similarity to cause lawyers in America.Secondly,considering the reality of Chinese society,what are the same point and the difference between this professional group and the cause lawyers in the liberal democracy?These questions are relevant to the complex relation among the law,the politics,and the social change in China.To answer these questions,firstly,it is necessary to describe the Chinese legal system,specially the relation between the law and the politics China,in which the lawyer show characteristics(Chap 1 and chapter 2).Secondly,on the basis of interviews with the lawyers,observing the activity and the strate of the lawyers inside and outside of their professional domain,I reach a conclusion of the specificity of the Chinese public interest lawyers(chapter 3);Thirdly,I try to work out the role of Chinese Public interest law in the case of housing demolition by comparing with character of Cause lawyer in America(chapter 4).
