A Study Of The Organization Of Islamic Cooperation(OIC)

The object of this paper is the Organization of Islamic Cooperation(OIC,formerly known as the Organization of the Islamic Conference),which is the world's largest multilateral platform for Islamic countries.This paper focuses on the adaptation process and effectiveness evaluation of the triple role of the OIC as an international organization,international relations actors,and the main body of the global governance and its effect on the transformation of international system,global governance failure,especially on global problem management.This paper discusses the theoretical connotation and the system adaptability of the OIC from the concept of alliance under the Arab-Islamic system and the relevant theories of international organizations,so as to analyze the internal and external causes of the establishment of the OIC,the OIC's increasing pragmaticality in response to the international system transformation and global governance failure in the real challenges,and the significant real opportunity that “the Belt and Road” initiative brings to China and the OIC to build a strategic partnership.That is,through historical and realistic analysis,to explore the development of OIC and the real logic of its transformation,to analyze the historical experience and shortcomings of the interaction between the sovereign state and the OIC,and to evaluate the policy positions and interests of the major powers on the OIC.Meanwhile,to analyze OIC's philosophy,mechanism,project and effectiveness assessment of global governance and to analyze the practical path and realistic significance of China and the OIC in managing global puzzles under the framework of " the Belt and Road” initiative.The seven chapters of this paper are organized as core concepts,relevant theories and interpretive frameworks,the establishment,development and transformation of the OIC,the relationship between the OIC and the Great Powers,the OIC and the global governance,the path and significance of the OIC and China's common governance of global puzzles under the framework of " the Belt and Road” initiative,aiming at responding to a series of major realities in the transformation of international organizations and international systems,international organizations and global governance,the path and of the OIC and China's common governance of global puzzles,thus forming a self-contained inherent logical relationship.
