A series of global problems are becoming more and more exposed with the globalization from different perceptive,like politics,economy,all ethnic groups and regions.The issue of globalization and intercultural communication are urgently needed in the future for young people to have leadership.While the university is an important place for leadership development.On the basis of previous studies,this paper makes a comparative study on the leadership development of Chinese and American College students which will explore the experience of USA and China.Therefore,the basic research contents include:First,from the perceptive on the theoretical basis for the cultivation of College Students' leadership,three basic theory focuses on the support of leadership cultivation of college students:student development theory,learning theory,college student leadership theory,and examines the Chinese student leadership training model China scholars construction.Secondly,from the perceptive on the history of the development of Chinese and American College Students' leadership development,the study is focus on the major events,development stages,and characteristics of the development and change of leadership in USA and China.Thirdly,from the perceptive on the leadership development resources comparison between China and the United States university student,this study is around the campus resources,especially the selection of auxiliary project leadership courses and curriculum,effectiveness analysis and practice of Sino US leadership development resources,and strive to reveal the optimal cultivation of College Student leadership of resource selection.Fourthly,from the perceptive on leadership development strategy comparison between China and the United States university student,this study is based on training,education,and development mode of student leadership,the high performance leadership development strategies.Fifthly,from the perceptive on the management system of Chinese and American College Students' leadership development,the United States and Chinese regulations mainly inspect the student leadership training.This study is focus on the analysis of the United States in the system such as the national level,college level and student leadership program level,while exploring student leadership management system on the characteristics and advantages of Chinese.The research methods used in this study include literature research,qualitative research,and comparative study.The depth interview of qualitative research methods obtain US leadership resources,develop effective strategies and management system as the first hand data.For this study,76 people have been interviewed during 2 years and 3 months period time.The depth interview data has been nearly 210,000 words.When the interview data encoding is completed,it included effective development resources,development strategies and management mechanism and system which are including many level items and two items.In particular,the six representative interviews,which have been collated,checked and confirmed many times,are valuable empirical data for this paper.The originality of the study lies in three aspects:first,it is from the innovation of research perspective,which is from the comparative study of Chinese and American college students leadership training and comprehensive analysis in many aspects;secondly,it is the innovation of the research contents,the theoretical foundation,American college students and leadership development,training resources,training strategy,management system,comparison dimensions;thirdly,it is used in depth interview of qualitative research methods for the comparison of Chinese and American leadership of the first-hand information,provides a new research framework and data support a comparative study of leadership training for college students.The conclusion of this study tries to reveal the similarities and differences between Chinese and American college students leadership development,development course,study of Chinese and American college students leadership development resources,development strategy,core indicators and dimensions of the development system.It reveals the successful experience and Enlightenment of American College Students' leadership development.At the same time,it puts forward some feasible suggestions to promote the professional development of Chinese college students:the first method is to study and learn from the United States as the leadership development strategy of talents;the second method is to expand and integrate the cultivation of College Students' leadership resources;the third method is the innovation and optimization of College Students' leadership development strategy;the fourth method is to establish and improve college students' leadership training system;the fifth method is the construction and promotion of the characteristics and advantages of Chinese student leadership development.
