A Study Of Firm's Cooperative Innovation Matching Mechanism Based On Heterogeneous Factors

Cooperative innovation is increasingly important for our firms' development.But in the realities,cooperative separation,the failure of cooperative innovation is very high.Existing research on cooperative innovation do not form a clear and explicit theory,which is more messy on cooperative innovation,and the portraies of innovation mechanisms is more facile,one-sided,not deep enough.This paper addresses three questions:(1)the analysis of the cooperative innovation mechanism;(2)the empirical analysis and testing on the factors which affecting the performance of cooperative innovation;(3)proposing the policies to promote innovation development.In theory,the author forms three key factors that influence cooperative innovation from a lot of failure stories: resources,capabilities and behavior.The author analyzes the key factors and constraints which influence the innovation performance from a perspective of heterogeneous elements matching in the innovation process.Papers address the important of “3C matching” which are the complementary of heterogeneous resources,the compatible of heterogeneous capabilities,and the coorinate of heterogeneous behaviors.Specifically:(1)In the study of complementary matching among innovation resources,the paper proposed that heterogeneous,relevant and relative cost obtaining resources are the key factors.Relevant and heterogeneous are the basis of cooperation.Based on this principle,the paper proposes two evaluation methods to select potential partners: the Euclidean distance evaluation methods and the attractiveness evaluation methods.The paper described the selection methods and procedures.(2)In research of the heterogeneous capabilities compatible,the paper adress cooperative innovation is a dynamic process.Capabilities compatible and linkage may have important influences on innovation performance.Paper further pointed out that the ability can be formed by endogenous approachs and be managed by external approache.(3)In the research of heterogeneous behavior,the paper pointed out that coordibation failure and opportunistic behavior,such as lazing,deliberately concealed the results of the task,may increase risk behavior,and decrease the investment,eventually leading to the failure of cooperation.The paper also analyzes the underlying causes of the opportunistic behavior,including information asymmetry,incomplete contracts.In empirical research,the paper use the macroeconomic data of China's industrial enterprises in cooperative innovation and Wenzhou,Taizhou firm survey data to analyzes the characteristics and existing problems.The author ues Amos statistical analysis software to test the relevant inferences of this article and analyzes the impacts of heterogeneity factor matching in innovation.(1)The paper shows that there is a vigorous innovation and serious innovation factors mismatching.The paper usese provincial cooperative innovation panel data examined LMEs cooperation complementary innovation process and effect factors.The result shows that when companies have a stronger technology absorption capacity(the ability to measure the compatibility of the parties to cooperate),the larger scale(a measure of cooperation to be found in the degree of complementary resources)and having previous experience in technology transfer(a measure of cooperation in the conduct of parties Management and control level),the complementary is high between the internal and external R&D.(2)Using the survey data of 235 manufacturing firms in Wenzhou,Taizhou,the authors further analyzed the heterogeneous elements matching status of these companies and their innovation performance(objective to achieve the degree of collaboration,cooperation and satisfaction,stable partnership Persistence).The results show: resources complementary matching,ability and behavior compatible have a significant positive influence to innovation performance;the biggest impact of the heterogeneity is the resources complementary,the next is the action coordinate,and finally heterogeneous capability compatibility.From the subdivision factors,the author find that resource search efforts,cooperation diversity,ability level compatible assets,affecting the credibility of cooperation,cooperative behavior has more influences to cooperative innovation performance.The author propses that(1)the corporation can improve the scientificalness and effectiveness of decision-making mechanism by strengthing the information search,the selection of projects and partners,and examing and evaluating to improve.In the selection of partners,firms should not focus on the scale of cooperation object and technology progressiveness,and the partner selection should be diverse and hierarchical.The firms should construct the professional cooperative object management mechanism,shifting the selection from passive to initiative.(2)To promoting the compatible of heterogeneity ability,enterprises should improve the cooperation innovation ability by improving the cooperation profit distribution mode and personnel rewards.The firms should enhance the mutual connection,the organizational learning and crossssection rewards in innovation.(3)By using the reputation mechanism,signaling mechanism,relation governce and contract governce,the corporate can decrease asymmetric information and hibit hetergenious behavior.(4)The government should play a positive role on the building of imformation platform,innovation funding,and the promoting of cooperate innovation development of small and medium-sized enterprises.The main contributions of this paper are:(1)a useful sorting and refining on the main factors which influencing on cooperation innovation development,and overcoming the problem of vague concept of heterogeneity in the innovation theory.(2)Based on the heterogeneous elements matching in the innovation process,the paper analyzes the cooperative innovation mechanism,the constraint conditions,and the key influencing factors,providing a new perspective for the study of cooperative innovation.(3)The paper proposes the policies to improve the innovation performance through the realization of heterogeneous resources complementary,heterogeneous abilities compatible,and heterogeneous behavior coordinate,providing a new perspective to promote the development of cooperative innovation.
