A Study On The Relationship Between Complementary Resources And Cooperative Innovation Performance

With the continuous development of knowledge economy and information technology,open innovation is becoming a new force in the field of management innovation.Meanwhile the mode of enterprise value creationg and technological innovation has been great changed.Firstly,the limitations of the enterprises' s own resources are increasingly obvious.And the form of technical innovation resources is more and more diverse.Secondly,the dependence of Innovation Subject on external environment has become stronger.And the importantce of cooperation innovation is remarkable.Specifically,because of the open innovation,cooperation innovation network has become an important way to carry out technical innovation and sustainable development for the innovation subject.With the demand for technological innovation process on capital,technology,personnel and organizational forms becoming strict,separated enterprise pattern is gradually replaced by the network pattern.The enterprise has the characteristic of network,high connection and so on.Innovation subject urgently needs to break through the limitation of enterprise boundary.They want to establish cooperative innovation network relationship with other innovation subjects by exchanging with others,establishing cooperative relations to acquire the knowledge,technology,capacity and resources needed for the development of enterprises.So that such resources can change into the enterprise internal innovation ability.By coordinating with the subject of cooperative innovation,innovation subject can achieve complementary advantages,resource sharing,risk sharing and benefit sharing to gain sustainable competitive advantage and enhance cooperation in innovation performance.In the cooperative innovation network,the complementary resources owned by the innovation subject are the key factors to determine the performance of the cooperative innovation,and it is an important index to improve the cooperative relationship between the cooperative subjects.Therefore,in this study we explore the relationship between complementary resources and cooperation innovation performance by taking complementary resources as the breakthrough point and taking the enhancing of cooperative innovation performance as the goal,which has important theoretical and practical significance.In addition,collaborative innovation network emphasizes the coparticipation,resource sharing and relationship coordination between the main subjects.However,the existing literature in the study of the relationship between enterprise capability and cooperative innovation performance mainly emphasizes the absorption capacity,conversion ability,resource management ability and so on.Obviously,it is difficult to reflect the interactive characteristics of the cooperative innovation network.Therefore,this research will introduce the interactive capability into the field of management innovation,and take it as the intermediary variable,to study the impact of complementary resources on the cooperative innovation performance.At the same time,the strength of network ties as a key indicator to measure the exchanges and cooperation between innovation subjects in cooperation innovation network is bound to affect the relationship between complementary resources,interaction capability and cooperation innovation performance.In summary,we construct a theoretical model of the effect of complementary resources on the cooperative innovation performance based on the interaction capability as the mediating variable and the network ties strength as the moderating variable in this study.The main ideas of this study are as follows.Firstly,there is a summary of literature for concepts and dimensions on complementary resources,interactive capability,network ties strength,cooperative innovation performance based on the resource dependence theory,interactive decision theory,enterprise network theory and cooperative innovation theory.Secondly,we have carried out the theoretical derivation of the relevant variables and constructed a theoretical model of the study.Thirdly,in the empirical process we design,release and recovery the questionnaire.By means of confirmatory factor analysis and the regression models of mediating effect and moderating effect,this paper got the conclusions that the complementary resources positively relevant with the cooperative innovation performance using SPSS and Amos data analysis software.Finally,we draw conclusions,and make recommendations on management practices.This performance by means of the mediating effect of interactive capability.The network ties strength has significantly moderating effect on the relationship between complementary resource and cooperative innovation performance,as well interactive capability and cooperative innovation performance.
