Throughout the research process of Marx 's theory, political economy is always the main field from he first researched it in October 1843 to the end of his life.Every progress and breakthrough of Marx 's theory in philosophy is closely tied to the achievement of critical researching to bourgeois political economy. In the whole economics research of Marx the most important influence economist is David Ricardo. He is the most profound materialist in the English classical economics. In Marx's writings we can see that he always restudys the works of David Ricardo when he further expounds his own crucial theoretical issues of economics.Because David Ricardo's economic theory achieved the highest level of classical economics, this level can be used as a starting point of the critique of political economy. In a sense,we can measure the degree of maturity of Marx 's studies through a certain point of the excerpt and judgment to Ricardo 's theory. For Marx, the relationship between the theoretic level of economics and the mature degree of philosophic conception of history is a double-way constructing process. So,his understanding of Ricardo's theory have a direct influence on the construction of his own scientific theoretical system of political economy theory and the formation and the deepening of philosophic conception of history. On the base of the textological-reading method and in the coordinate of objective historical context and the development of the intellectual history, this dissertation comprehensively carries out the research in the horizon of historical materialism philosophy. This dissertation aims to unearth Marx 's in-depth theoretical logic delivery behind the change of his perspective for Ricardo 's theory by combing the cognitive process from rejecting,to accepting, and then to critiquing, until transcending and sublating. And,more significant,it attempts to analyse the important effect of the cognitive process on the formation and the deepening of Marx 's philosophic conception of history.According to the goals above, this dissertation is divided into one introduction, five chapters and the part of a simple conclusion. The introduction analyses that Ricardo's classical economics theory showed the profound implication of materialism. In chapter ?,I analyse that Marx 's critical attitude of philosophy when he first researches Ricardo 's theory. At this time,Marx flatly rejects Ricardo 's labor theory of value from the abstract humanism perspective on the proletarian standpoint.Chapter ? analyses Marx 's mind-shift period gradually to the labor theory of value. This period is the preparation for Marx's scientific understanding of Ricardo's economic theory.Chapter III illuminates the stage of Marx's positive acceptance in economics and preliminary sublation in social historical view to Ricardo's theory. In this period,Marx fully affirms Ricardo's labor theory of value, but he cannot yet make scientific explanation to the mode of capitalist production because he accepts and uses Ricardo's theory uncritically leading to fail to recognizing its limitations. In chapter IV,I analyse that Marx critiques and transcends Ricardo's economics in his third economics research, and this process deepens and develops his social historical view.Chapter V dissects the period of Marx 's sublation to Ricardo's economics in the economic dimension, and simultaneously analyses Marx's methodological perspective during he critiques it.
